This project is the result of the partner schools' wish to make students aware of cultural differences and common ground within the EU in an innovative and fascinating way by using VR and AR and various other forms of media. These enhance the students' as well as the teachers' media and language competences and allow teachers to integrate new teaching methods in classroom teaching. The issues economy, tourism, art and culture, education, history, industries and transport and the institution of the EU dealt with in this project are based on the various school types and locations of the schools involved. Basically, about 150 students of the age between 14 and 19 and 13 teachers are actively involved in this project. Yet, during the project meetings the whole hosting school, parents, the hosting community as well as various print or other media will take part in this project directly or indirectly. By extensive use of VR and AR-apps as well as various forms of media such as film, photo diary, presentations, photo slide shows etc. before, during and after the 4 planned meetings the students should look into the mentioned issues in detail and find out more about the home countries of the participating schools and the chances and opportunities the EU can offer young people. The results will be published on eTwinning and on the homepage especially designed for this project. Latter will also be linked with the homepages of the partner schools. The insights and experiences gained especially with regard to VR and AR apps should make it possible that these forms of media can be used in the partner schools successfully in the future.
