Project "Innovative model for prevention of drug addiction for students" Objectives of the project: The aims of project are: - Social dialogue; - Prevention of drug addictions; - Social responsibility; - Inclusion of young people; -Exchange of good practices in Cyprus and Greece; - Supporting schools to tackle early school leaving (ESL) and disadvantage; The project proposal “Innovative model for prevention of drug addiction for students” is in unison with the Annual Work Program to the EC, Europe 2020, Education and Training 2020, also major part has the European drug prevention quality standards. The objectives of the project are to provide new knowledge and toolkit for teaching, for engaging in youth activities and social inclusion. Study ESPAD (European School Survey on Alcohol and Other Drugs) has collected data on substance use among 15 and 16 year olds to monitor trends in individual countries and to make comparisons between them. Between 1995 and 2015, six such studies were conducted in 48 European countries, with more than 96,000 students from 35 countries taking part. Bulgaria is one of them. Since 2007 there has been no longitudinal and local study on levels of psychoactive substance use and we have no real idea of the magnitude of the problem. The target group is students and young workers, school advisors, psychologists and teachers. The project “Innovative model for prevention of drug addiction for students” aims at satisfying the need for knowledge in students, teachers, school advisors, psychologists and parents on the topic of preventing drug addictions. The project proposal is based to Strategic Partnerships for school education. The project focuses on the new toolkit that students and specialists can use in the field of drug prevention, social knowledge, critical thinking, fighting discrimination and violence. Project Duration - 12 months. The main result quantity and quality indicators for the project proposal are: - 1 Research and analysis of methods for prevention of drug addiction for students. - 1 Handbook for prevention of drug addiction for students. - Minimum 3 online published pieces of information about project activities. - 2 seminars for dissemination - 1 include 80 local experts, school psychologists and pedagogic advisors and 20 foreign participants and 1 with 60 local and 20 foreign participants - developed skills and exchange the best practices and to take a know-how. - a positive and lasting effects on the participating organizations on policies, systems, as well as those directly or indirectly involved in organized activities. -an effective fight against social, civic, intercultural competences, media literacy and critical thinking, as well as combating discrimination, bullying and violence. - Strategic partnerships with specialists from other countries - EU members (Bulgaria, Cyprus and Greece) , increased motivation and activity of heir aim is to develop skills, to exchange the best practices and to take a know-how. Planning activities: 1) Project management and implementation. 2) Transitional meetings – the meetings are planned to one in each partner country (Bulgaria, Greece and Cyprus). 3) Intellectual outputs – there are two intellectual outputs with the titles: - 1 Research and analysis of methods for prevention of drug addiction for students. - 1 Handbook for prevention of drug addiction for students. 4) Multiplier events – they will held in the leading organization Bulgaria and will be organized here (2 seminars). The first seminar will include 80 local experts, school psychologists and pedagogic advisors and 20 foreign participants. The second seminar will involve 60 local and 20 foreign participants. With every seminar the participants will expand their knowledge and competences in that way their ambition and motivation for professional development will be increased.
