Education, integration and democracy in Europe The project is going to be multi-disciplinary in its orientation and will involve the following school subjects: German, Geography, History, Civics, Politics and Human rights. The working language of the project will be English. The project will cover various competence aims of these subjects and a whole class of 30 students aged 16 to 18 years will be involved in the project from September 2018 to August 2020. Our objective behind this project is to involve, expose and educate our students to the challenges of education, democracy and integration. We wish to take our students to Potsdam and invite students of Maxim Gorki Gesamtschule to Bergen to investigate the policies adopted by local authorities. Our students and teachers get a deep insight into collaboration across borders and are able to contribute to the European idea of mutual understanding. Our students realize how important it is to learn foreign languages and to communicate in a common one. The use of modern communication technologies helps them to succeed in doing research, exchanging ideas and publishing the results.
