Project summary

Project: Limitless electric mobility ........ Compared with traffic based on internal combustion engines, electromobility offers a series of very decisive advantages, both from an economic and an ecological point of view: • more energy-efficient transportation, • the reduction of CO2 emissions, • security of energy supply through diversification of energy sources, • less noise in traffic • a significant reduction in the health effects caused by exhaust gases. As a result, intensive work is being done in all European countries to implement new mobility concepts. Last but not least, this is necessary to keep Europe competitive in the global mobility sector. The job description of the motor vehicle mechanic changes rapidly in this context. Not only the electric drive, but the multitude of driver assistance systems, networking (keyword Industry 4.0) up to the autonomous driving requires an enormous development of competences. Training contents as well as teaching and learning concepts must be adapted to the requirements of electromobility specific qualification. Here the project is located. As part of the mobilities, "learning situations" will be developed in advance and will be mutually presented, practiced and evaluated. The apprentices (educated in the dual system) carry the acquired competencies into their companies and act as multipliers. The developed "learning situations" (together with accompanying information such as manufacturer documentation) are set in a knowledge database and are available to the network. Under the guidance of the teaching team, the pupils develop different "learning situations" at the existing study equipments in the schools in Wolfsberg and Wolfenbüttel. The basis for the "learning situations" to be created was the evaluation of typical fault characteristics through surveys of the involved stakeholders (involved car dealerships, Volkswagen AG, University of Applied Sciences Ostfalia, Clausthal University of Technology, regional working group for Automotive Engineering). In addition to the increase of expertise, the focus is on methodological competence (eg evaluation methodology, use of communication platforms, presentation techniques) and social competence (team development, integration of inclusive school groups, international exchange). During the mobility phases, the students have the opportunity to experience other processes in the partner country's businesses and schools. This will have an important impact to qualify for their future careers (eg Europass). Aims: Objectives for the students / apprentices • Increase of competence (professional expertise and skills / methods competence / social competence) • Getting to know other work processes and structures in companies and schools in the partner country • enriching one's personality • Establish contacts with apprentices of the partner country • Competitive advantage over other apprentices • Receive Europass (international mobility certificate) Objectives for the school / for the teachers • Strategic partnership • Strengthen the profile of the school as a European School • Training of intercultural competences and tolerance • expand the horizons of pupils and teachers, increase motivation • Strengthen relationships with the school environment (participating companies, craftsmen, cities, communities, ...) • quality development of the school • Access to the expertise of the participating institutions Objectives for the companies and craftmen involved • Image enhancement as a modern, cosmopolitan training company • Increasing the attractiveness as a training company • Trainees bring ideas for process optimization from their experiences abroad • Increase the motivation of trainees Objectives for the project environment • Arouse enthusiasm for resource-efficient mobility in Wolfsbergs and Wolfenbüttels regions • Participating institutions have the opportunity to present themselves during the excursions (for example Autostadt Wolfsburg, University of Ostfalia, automotive suppliers, destinations in Berlin and Graz) Participants involved: CGLS Wolfenbüttel: 10 apprentices of the second and third years of training (17-21 years old) of the automotive mechanics and agricultural machinery mechanics and 4 teachers take part in the project. FBS Wolfsberg: 10 apprentices of the third year of training (17-21 years old) of automotive mechanics and 3 teachers take part in the project. The project will establish a broad knowledge base. Future projects in the area of vehicle technology (for example on the important innovative topics such as networking, driver assistance systems and autonomous driving) will allow this database to grow and thus make an important impact to the education of future generations of students. Through the dissemination platforms, the project results are available throughout Europe to all interested organizations.

Here the project was located. During the mobilities, learning situations were presented, practiced and evaluated to each other. The trainees (dual system) brought their acquired skills to their companies and acted as multipliers.. The pupils worked out different learning situations in an action-oriented manner under the guidance of the teacher teams both in the schools in Wolfsberg and Wolfenbüttel. In addition to professional competence, the focus was on methodological competence (e.g. evaluation methodology, use of communication platforms, presentation techniques) and the expansion of social skills. A central component of the mobility was that the trainees had the opportunity to get to know other processes in the companies and schools in the partner country. They gained additional qualifications for their professional careers. At the end of the C3 mobility, the pupils involved received the Europass. The following project goals were achieved: Goals for the students / trainees • Acquisition of skills (technical / methodological / social skills) • Getting to know other work processes and structures in companies and schools in the partner country • Enrichment of one's own personality • Establishing contacts with trainees in the partner country • Competitive advantage over other trainees (springboard) • Receipt of Europass (internationally recognized mobility certificate) Goals for the school / for the trainers • Strategic partnership • Strengthen the profile of the school, European school • Teaching intercultural skills and tolerance • Broaden the horizons of students and teachers, increase motivation • Strengthening relationships with the school environment (participating companies, craftsmen, city, municipality, ...) • Access to the expertise of the participating institutions Goals for the participating training company • Strengthening the image as a modern, cosmopolitan training company in the craft • Increasing the attractiveness as a training company • Trainees brought with them ideas for process optimization from their experiences abroad • Increasing the motivation of the trainees Objectives for the project environment • Enthusiasm for resource-saving mobility was aroused • Participating institutions had the opportunity to present themselves (e.g. Autostadt Wolfsburg, automotive suppliers, destinations in Berlin and Graz) Objectives for the project environment • Arouse enthusiasm for resource-efficient mobility in Wolfsbergs and Wolfenbüttels regions • Participating institutions have the opportunity to present themselves during the excursions (for example Autostadt Wolfsburg, University of Ostfalia, automotive suppliers, destinations in Berlin and Graz) We have succeeded in letting a large number of students (> 100) take part in our project. Students from FBS and CGLS from different years of apprenticeship worked on the project via video conferences. These regular video teaching units are firmly established and will continue to be carried out. The project laid the foundation for a knowledge database. Future projects in the field of vehicle technology (e.g. on important innovative topics such as networking, driver assistance systems and autonomous driving) will allow this database to grow and thus also make an important contribution to the education of future generations of students. An intensive partnership has emerged between the schools, and further projects are being planned. Friendships have developed between the students and the teaching teams.
