The motivation of this project is to raise awareness about climate issues, nature protection and how to teach such a big and complicate themes to preschool children. Also to exchange the good practice ideas about environmental education and sustainable development in preschools. Project title is "Inside and out of the beehive. What goes on inside the beehive and outside is one of the most amazing stories in nature" Beehive is symbol also for preschool - beehive as preschool building and bees as children in and out of beehive. During this project will teachers get more ideas how to involve children and their parents into different kind of activities. The project main goal is to raise the professional development of the staff. Improve the knowledges about sustainable development and environmental education. These priorities are linked to preschools curriculum and used in every days learning process. We would like to give children have the opportunity to: - consider how the life cycle of the flowering, plant relates to the weather and seasons. - Understand that different plants like different growing conditions and need different amounts of space. - look at a variety of garden plants and learn some of their names. Gardening is a healthy outdoor activity and all children can derive a sense of archievment from producing food they can eat of flowers that will give pleasure. It also provides good opportunities to develop personal and social skills. As pupils work together to plan and care for their garden and also share in the responsibility of caring for living organisms. For schools in urban areas a small horticultural garden or selection of containers may be the only sort of garden feasible. Actitivities will be: create sweet garden with blossom s to surround kindergarten yard. More activities are composting and worms. Animals and insects in the garden, create home for insects. Caring for the seedlings, looking after growing. Movies and stories about bees, insects and animals. Recycling crafts. Games, boards games, songs, theater play. Also one theme will be healthy nutrition, food from nature and eating honey. All participants first disseminate project results in their preschools and neighborhood kindergartens. The main target groups are kindergarten teachers, we will share results to them in our countries. In Estonia we have Facebook group for kindergarten teacher over the hole land, where we can disseminate the project blog and different project activities.

These priorities were linked to the preschool's curriculum and used in the everyday learning process. We gave children the opportunity to share their insights. All partners together had the same theme, e.g. growing plants, preparing vegan food. Turing the project, there were the following actions for the children: the honey-making process were introduced; children visited local farmers and visited the Natural History Museum, where researchers explore nature, including bees. - plant life circle, from seed to plant, fingers in the soil. Composting - recycling old material, making new toys and presents. Some partners visited a waste management station and exhibitions about recycling material. - water theme. Different type of experiments with water. Each partner approached it from a different angle. - climate issues. Akranes kindergarten made photos every week and after compiled presentation how the weather has changed. - kindergartens participated all together in warm jumper day; lowering the heat in the rooms. - teachers used digital learning tools; all partners merged film clips into one long movie. https://drive.google.com/file/d/19wiI4pg9aymfNHidX3muOhyK40rW4grC/view?fbclid=IwAR3lsexsHQY2tMMWkymoXZ01iVk8v6QlmjyvW2_1qlAqjE5poa3USQeRq6Q All participants disseminated project results in their preschools and neighbourhood kindergartens. https://twinspace.etwinning.net/79046/pages/page/515145
