Final summery. The aim of our project was to help our pupils to know their cultural heritage, to know about European cultural heritage and to do so at the same time that their creativity was stimulated in the process. Our stories were a useful tool for our children to communicate, learn from experience with an accessible languaje and do it with joy. Learning so, our pupils involved themselves in the process of creating opening their imagination. Each one of them gave whatever he thought could contribute with to make a better story. In that way their self-confidence increased a big deal. Our objetives were highly achieved; 1. All our students engaged in the project. 2. Students really improved their languaje skills, literacy, critical thinking and developed their personal and social capacity. 3. They opened their minds to admire other cultures, other foods, other religions and at the same time felt proud of that one they felt as their own. 4. They made friends and realized these friends had something in common with them, we all are European citizens, we all share a very rich unitity. 5. They saw that our differences make the world a more beautiful place, richer and more fun. They shared in respect. 6. On top of all I have just said before, we have a collection or stories that our schools can use once and again. We have published a padlet, a facebook page, we have included everything in our school´s web, etc. All the activities were carried on as planned, except for the movility to Bulgary, the last one. It was going to be in the end of march, beginning of may 2020, but we had to chage it to a virtual activity. The whole situation was very stressing and having the chance of a virtual meeting with our partners, sharing activities every day during a week and learn a coreography that we all danced and shared in june 2021 was an excuse to celebrate. This week painted in colours a year that had been lived in black and white. Teachers firts met in Turkey, we scheduled, organized, talked about how and about what would our stories talked. First mobility with students was in our small village, Ciñera (Spain). It was a big success. It had a huge impact in our community. Nearly every family in the school opened their homes for our new friends. This families came with us in cultural visits and they have kept in touch untill now. The event of having such honorable visiters was shown on TV and we were received in the Diputación of León. The second mobility was to Poland, and the third one to Rumania. Each metting gave us the chance to show each other the stories we had got ready for that moment. Our kids felt anxius to show what they had done and curious to discover the stories of the others-. Teachers and families overwhelmed us each time, and this made more pupils to will to take part in the next movility and pushed some parents to travelled with us. This narrowed new friendships and made tight knnots among many of us. Even families tried to lear some words in the different laguages and improved a lot the little english they remembered from school. I cannot say what a big opportunity this experience gave to all of us,some of our pupils live in villages where there are no other children. I must highlight one case. This one student who had appeared in our school two years before because he could not stop from getting in trouble. The first year he spent with us it was really difficult. He did not want to do anything and got really bad marks in the end. But then, next year, we got the project and he was given the chance to take part. His change was so astonishing. He got finally iamong the chosen ones to go to Poland. It was a real dream for him, but then he left our school to go to High school, he had made friends with some romanian boys who had stayed in his house in the first mobility. He was so upset when he realised he could not go to Romania that his family asked us to take him with us, payig his exspenses, of course. His parents also asked for permision in his High School and finally he also joined the movility to Romania, where he was extremely happy. He said that then it was woth it the effort of studying.
We want to share our rich European culture telling our partners about our stories. These stories will be told in English what will help our students to improve in the use of this language with the objetive of using it both with the stories and in our meetings. These exchanges of culture will give us an excuse to meet and know each other, so an European citizenship will turn up. In our meetings teachers will see how school works in different countries and we will have the chance to compare and improve in our schools. We hope that in our movilicéis we will develop friendships that will strengthen the feeling of a European Community.
