This project stems from the necessity to create collaboration to achieve a common purpose: finding solutions to counteract social exclusion. In the light of the social crisis which has impacted greatly on Europe, this project also aims at educating young people and give them a deeper understanding of the need to face current social problems and to get involved, propose and carry out iniciatives that will have an impact on their social environment.Bearing this in mind, main objectives of this project are: 1.To educate the school community and help them to understand the need to face current problems related to refugees, migration and other social situations, as well as the urgent need to be engaged and look for initiatives which help to lighten the negative impact of this social situation. 2.To encourage young people to become responsible EU citizens, aware of and respecting the different cultures. 3.To raise public awareness of the need to work together to ensure the future of our communities and the entire world. 4.To motivate young people: they will feel relevant and satisfied of helping and trying to create a better and safer world as well as experience first hand important aspects of cooperation in the EU. 5.To motivate students and teachers in language education and its importance to communicate with European partners. 6.To design and implement motivational and meaningful activities which help to achieve all other objectives, develop competences and act from an entrepreneurial perspective. 7.To obtain relevant ouputs and outcomes and diffuse them through various ways in order to cause a significant impact on participants and communities. It is also important to carry out this project transnationally due to several reasons, such as sharing knowledge and experiences, encouraging participants to enhance their social responsibility and enriching their knowledge about other countries, thus increasing respect for each other and our differences. Participants´ language skills will be promoted and the experiences linked to this project will help to improve self-confidence and possibly enhance further European cooperation. Target groups of this project, which includes schools situated in Poland, Cyprus, Norway, Iceland and Spain, are teachers, students (13-16 years old), families, immigrants, refugees, organizations and local authorities. A minimum of 250 students, coming from different social, cultural and educational backgrounds, will be involved in the learning, teaching and training activities. Additionally, participating teachers have a dynamic, collaborative, responsible and decisive profile and they will also contribute their expertise in taking leadership roles, coordinating and participating in other projects. With respect to methodology, it will be active, participatory and collaborative. Therefore, all activities will be based on cooperative work and will require the collective effort of all participants. Learning by doing will be predominant as interaction and communication will play an essential role. Students’ involvement will be enhanced by encouraging them to explore new ideas and be creative as well as by making them feel part of a network of people who share common goals. The above-mentioned methodology will be applied to activities which will be varied and will guide participants towards active engagement in social inclusion. This will allow them to develop competences and act from an entrepreneurial perspective (development of an inclusion plan to integrate students with social difficulties and their families, including immigrants; creation of an international network with students and teachers; organization of a letter-writing campaign to offer proposals to local authorities...). Regarding the follow-up, evaluations will be made by all participants in different stages through questionnaires, rubrics, interviews... Direct and online meetings will be held regularly to assess the run of the project and make the necessary readjustments Furthermore, dissemination of outputs and outcomes is a key factor for the success of the project. Thus, the diffusion plan includes periodic dissemination activities and both internal and external diffusion as well as the use of online platforms such as the blog, eTwinning and the Erasmus+ PRP. Finally, it is expected that this project will have a considerable impact and long-term benefits for participants, as they will increase their knowledge about refugees and immigrants through direct contact, will learn to look immigration from different perspectives and will have a better understanding of refugees’ situation. Besides, they will enhance their language, digital, social, professional and cooperative skills, will get the feeling to contribute by helping in inclusive education and will strenghten their empathy and engagement. Lastly, participants will develop European partnerships which will benefit schools and organizations and give them European dimension.
