Project summary

n our training provider organisations, we have to take in account that : - Many young adults are not actors in their citizenship and in their working path, - The classical back-to-job indicator to evaluate the efficiency of our actions is incomplete and does not take into account the richness of a social and professional coaching process. - Almost all newly arrived migrants on the partners’ territories are placed in disadvantaged cities, neighbourhoods or rural areas. All these challenges are directly linked to each other. Our approach consists in allocating dedicated time to each (learning to live better with less) to enable contacts and exchanges to flourish. We are convinced that our role should be less based on apprenticeship and instead move towards mediation and activities so that groups will eventually be able to come together, so that wonderful idea of living together becomes a concrete and local reality. To successfully meet our targets, we must start from the needs and abilities of the persons concerned. It seems important to share our practices, to experience them in other context, and to evaluate them together Many European programs already allowed exchanges of practices between organisations helping young people and migrants. But all these projects all focused on a classical approach on teaching and learning language, institutional knowledge, job seeking.... Our approach is totally different. It consists for the project stake holders to exchange and to develop animation and mediation practices, which allow disadvantaged persons to find in themselves (following a social constructivism process) methods, technics and tools in aim to better live together with few means. Therefore it is not an approach tending to insert young people or migrants in a society, but an approach aiming to develop exchanges and to allow everyone to do better by cooking, « doing it yourself », repairing, gardening, building, using digital tools. The learning partnership aims to elaborate a specific methodological set for training our target groups in life and integration skills according to the abilities, learning capability, pace and time specific for the trainees. The expected results are : - an online handbook for teachers and trainers (english and local languages) ; it will include the methods and activities whitch were shared during the project, the evaluation of their transfert by other partners this guide will be developed by the partnership. The handbook aims at supplying a global pedagogical consideration and practical suggested activities. - a project website or blog : story telling of the transnational meetings and of the pedagogical transfers and tests at the parners' places - a facebook page for each partner : these pages will record the witnesses (texts, picture and videos) and the meetings (local and transnational) - a logo for the project - a specific page on the partner's website (local language) with links to an english version - on a cloud space : all the usefull documents for the management of the project
