The project “Storytelling” that originates from the collaboration of the High School – Cariati, with the High School Etimesgut Faruk Nafiz Çamlıbel Anatolian that is located in Ankara (Turkey), the Liceul Tehnologic located in Ticleni (Romania), the EPALM Institute located in Metsovou (Greece) and the Institute Szkoła Podstawowa nr 16 im. Mobility actvities aim at beginning both a synergy and collaboration among youngsters with different cultural and linguistic backgrounds, in order to reach the creation of a blog that tells history, traditions and food and wine of the belonging’s places of all the groups that will take part in this exchange. Students will tell and describe the excellences of their places of origin, promoting the tourist promotion of their own territory too. This type of activity aims at cutting down the cultural barriers that come from some stereotypes and misunderstandings, in order to stimulate the pupils to open themselves up and to understand both what is the respect fot ‘the other’ and why being different can result to be a treasure. The blog will be completely planned by the students, not only for the contents but for the graphics (font, colours, logo, etc.) too. It will be written in english but there will be also some available translations in the languages of all the participating countries. The main objectives of the proposal will be the following ones: - to promote the exchange of good practices among the schools that operate in different countries; - to promote the cultural difference as a creativity and prosperity source, in order to move the pupils to both the dialogue and the intercultural respect; to enhance the linguistic abilities of both students and teachers; -to enhance the transverse abilities (problem solving, team working, effective communication), in particular the development of the critical thought; -to get some further digital and editorial knowledges; - each school will get further competences within the management of the Erasmus + Projects. The involved staff in this project will guarantee that the activities will develop in a very shifting way in a total period of time that will last for 24 months, because of facing possible difficulties and troubles. There will be some monitoring tools such as questionnaires and sheets that relate to the students’ performances, such as tools that will be used to do reports and to understand the performance of the proposal till the end of the activities , when the staff will introduce “Storytelling” ‘s results. These will be done not only because of the reports, but also because of the full supply of the reference index that were decided by the authorized personnel. Following features are included among these ones: - increase of English Language Certifications (at least for the 40% of the participants); -increase of IT Certifications (at least for the 20% of the participants); - improvement of school performances; - increase of the contact networks of the schools; -improvement of the performances of the teachers as a reasult of the acquisition of innovative methodology and didactics; - increase of the participation of the involved school in new Erasmus + Projects. The project foresees a plan of dissemination that is pointed towards the ‘interior’ of the partnership, in order to involve students, families and teachers and that can promote the project for a broader audience. This will happen, thanks to press, radio, tv, the dissemination of leaflets , the creation of a facebook page and some sections on the websites of the different schools, but above all thanks to the blog that will be not only a small part in this project but in the involved territories too.
This "Storytelling" project proposal, with the mobility activities, aimed at establishing a synergy and collaboration between young people with different cultural and linguistic backgrounds, to create a blog that tells the history, traditions, folklore and food and wine of the places of membership of all groups participating in the exchange. In this space, the students were able to tell and describe the excellence of their places of origin, also promoting the tourism promotion of their territory. This type of activity aimed at breaking down cultural barriers resulting from stereotypes and misunderstandings, stimulating learners to open up and understand respect for others and the richness that lies in diversity. The blog entirely designed by the students, not only from a content point of view, but also for what concerns the graphics (font, colors, logo, etc.) was written in English, but translations into the languages were also prepared of all participating countries. The main objectives of the proposal were: - to favor the exchange of good practices between schools operating in different countries; -promoting cultural difference as a source of creativity and wealth, encouraging students to dialogue and intercultural respect; - enhance the language skills of students and teachers; - enhance transversal skills (problem solving, team working, effective communication), in particular the development of critical thinking; -to acquire further knowledge in the digital and publishing fields; - each school will be able to acquire new skills in the management of Erasmus + projects. The staff involved in the project ensured that during the 24 months, the activities develop smoothly, facing any critical issues and problems. Monitoring tools have been proposed such as questionnaires and sheets relating to student performance, as a means to prepare reports and understand the progress of the proposal until the end of the activities, when the staff presented the results of "Storytelling". These have been elaborated, not only on the basis of the reports, but also on the basis of the reference indicators established by the experts. Between these : -increase of certifications in English (at least 40% of participants); - increase in IT certifications (at least 20% of participants); -improvement of school performance; - increase in school contact networks; - improvement of the performance of teachers following the acquisition of innovative methodological-teaching know-how; - increased participation of schools involved in new Erasmus + projects. The project envisages a dissemination plan aimed both within the partnership, in order to involve students, families and teachers, but also a dissemination aimed at promoting the project in a wider audience. This has been achieved thanks to the press, radio and TV, the dissemination of brochures, the creation of a facebook page and specific sections on the websites of the various schools, but above all thanks to the blog which will represent not only a window on the project but also on the territories involved.
