Because of demographic changes, growing intolerance and violent extremisim, insecurity, increased competition and rapid technological advancement, many countries have recognised that education has a key role to play in creating happier, healtier and more peacful socities. We need all learners to be happy in order for future generations to contribute a more peaceful and prosperous world. It is also European Union’s one of the main objectives;the promotion of peace and the well-being of the Union´s citizens .Educational quality and school happiness are inseparable, and that happiness and well-being should not only be considered an objective for education systems, but also as the means for higher educational outcomes and success in future life and work. There is a clear need for more time and space in schools, whether in terms of time allocated for extracurricular activities or for the preparation of fun and engaging learning approaches, or in terms of space for learners to express themselves more freely. Aristoteles envisioned education as multidimensional consisting of 4 branches;reading and writing, gymnastics, music, drawing. With the inspration this we named our project The Pursuit of Happiness;S.M.A.R.T .It will point to fuel a genuine love of learning through Sport,Music,Art,Recrational Activities, and Technology. With the help of SMART our students will learn to be happy, and also they will be happy to learn. The Project will help young people find their passion and give them a healthy way to express themselves. Our students need a creative outlet, something which lets them exorcise difficult feelings, perhaps through sport, art, music. If we have this, we’re far less likely to express ourselves in more harmful ways. The Project will help students focus and learn, manage emotions, reduce stres and increase empathy. The Pursuit of Happiness;S.M.A.R.T is a collaborative project of 5 different schools and planned for both students and teachers.Internationally,SMART will bring 20 guest and at least 20 host students together in every meeting.7-8 teachers will benefit from joint staff activities in every meeting. The diversity of profiles aims at creating a dynamic learning environment to practice intercultural communication. The number of participants is limited in internationally but in the national activities much more students and teachers will take part in.We will foster students and teachers interactions through these activities. Our project will help our students grow pyhsically, mentally, socially and emotionaly. It will keep them healthy, give them exposure to learn through others, and try new things, develop their talents, whether in ICT,music, art or sports. It will emphasize the need more fun and engaging learning approaches in order to make the teaching and learning process more enjoyable for both students and teachers alike. It will highlight the need for 21st century teachers who are both equipped and supported to use innovative teaching and learning strategies. We built a reliable partnership via eTwining and former contacts. We have a resource plan, operating aggrement, documented objective and goals, and improved team communication strategies, and well-organised dissemination activities. It is a student centered Project which will include students in planning, implementation, and assessments. A wide range carefully planned,well-paced learning experiences will be provided.Within a rich, supportive envoriment teachers will draw upon a skillful mix of approaches to promote a climate of creativity and innovation. We will use demonstration, quizzes, small group discussions, role playing,hand-on teaching and learning with doing methods. What’s more, there will be numerous activities to help teachers prepare and equip to better do their jobs. They will have new skills. Our outcomes will be published on Twinspace and social networks exclusively created for the project.2years activity and mobility plan were developed with all the partners with reference to their physical and academic conditions. Our project will be leading for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help teachers and students build a better school life. We are on the ground in 5 countries, working with them on their own solutions to international and national development challenges. National activities will be spine for realizing the results. Through active participation ,dances, songs, arts and crafts, sports and via new technologies, teacher and students will further develop an understanding and appreciation of each others culture and traditions. They will also have opportunities to improve their foreign languages. Moreover; It will also deepen the feeling of being one in a united Europe. The activities of project is supposed to intensify the cooperation among schools and students of different European countries. Activities will enable students to explore, understand, describe and compare and contrast lifestyles across Europe .
Through a long period of corona pandemic, our project has become even more important. We still need all students to be happy so that future generations can contribute to a more peaceful and prosperous world. It is also one of the main goals of the EU: promoting peace and well-being for the citizens of the Union. Quality of education and school happiness are inseparable, and that happiness and well-being should not only be considered as a goal for education systems, but also as means for higher education outcomes and success in future life and work. There is a clear need for more time and space in schools, whether it is time set aside for leisure activities or the preparation of fun and engaging learning methods, or when it comes to space for students to express themselves more freely. We still hope that our project has helped the students to grow mentally, mentally, socially and emotionally. It will keep them healthy, give them exposure to learn through others, and try new things, develop their talents, whether it is in ICT, music, art or sports. It will emphasize the need for more fun and engaging learning approaches to make the teaching and learning process more fun for both students and teachers. It will highlight the need for 21st century teachers who are both equipped and supported to use innovative teaching and learning strategies. Through active participation, dances, songs, arts and crafts, sports and via new technology, teachers and students have further developed an understanding of each other's culture and traditions. They have also improved their foreign languages. It has also strengthened the feeling of being one in a united Europe. The project activities have increased the collaboration between schools and students from different European countries. The activities have made it possible for students to explore, understand, describe and compare and contrast lifestyles throughout Europe. Some of the concrete outcome of our project is creating logos and designing mascot competition, making dance videos, “Erasmus+Corner'' was made in every school to visualise our project, movies of trips were made after meetings, presentation of countries, cities, schools, A 2-year calendar was made both digital and printed, Music festivals and shows where organized, a lot of nature activity has been done such as mountain hike, swimming, tennis, horseback riding, visiting museums and Zoo, voluntary work once a year, Outdoor picnic and going to concerts. We also have done a lot of seminars on ICT on education applications for teachers and students presented in meetings such as Storybird, Padlet, Tagul, Scratch, Puppet Pals, Creaza and of course made a website for our project and Facebook and whatsApp group for communication. Very good and varied programs for our exchanges in the partner countries were also completed according to our plan. All completed results correspond well to the priorities of the project that is finding joy and happiness through learning in creative and practical ways through sports, music, art, recreational activities and and technology. Planned activities for the meeting in Funchal, Madeira were canceled due to coronavirus but we will do the ICT activities that originally were planned for Portugal online during the upcoming school year.
