"Learn together - create opportunities" project is a two year project between 6 organizations from Poland, Belgium, Greece, Spain, Romania and The UK. The main objective of the project is to give disadvantaged adults learners (with lack of literacy skills, refugees, unemployed) positive learning and cultural experiences and, to motivate them to lifelong learning, to promote their creativity. Project activities mainly focus on enhancing the basic skills and key competences, mostly literacy skills and digital competences. Tutors/teachers will develop innovative teaching methods to engage/motivate adult learners to improve their skills. The aim of this project is also to create high quality learning opportunities, through the exchange of good practice examples. The learners will create their own EU digital stories and present them during the workshops to start intercultural dialogue among EU members. Teachers will create "The Innovative Methods Guide" - useful manual with the best practice examples of work with adult learners. Each partner will organise courses for learners from disadvantaged groups and each partner will organise at one transnational project meeting or international learning activities in their own country. "Learn together - create opportunities" project is an opportunity to inspire more Europeans to be involved in self development and will help partner institutions to raise and expand the level of activities. By means of this project we aim to: - increase adult learners literacy and matemathic skills, - develop adult learners key competences, - develop innovative teaching adults methods, - integrate ITC tools and innovative methods, - promote learning and creativity by using refreshing actvities into classroom and support the use of new and innovative content and practice of ICT in lifelong learning society. The international projects' activities will promote positive change, mutual understanding, emphaty and tolerance in European society. Participants will gain new learning experiences during the project, because learning together creates opportunities and European cooperation will help to share knowledge and understand other cultures better. Learners' mobility and motivation will be enhanced. The project is also a way to combat prejudice, racism and xenophobia by raising awareness of a multi-cultural/multi-racial EU.
Project entitled "Learn together - create opportunities" was implemented by 6 institutions related to adult education from Poland, Belgium, Greece, Spain, Romania and The UK. It was planned for 2 years, but due to the COVID-19 epidemic, its implementation period was extended to almost 3 years. The main aim of the project was to support adults from disadvantaged groups (people with learning disabilities, unemployed, refugees, people with economic difficulties) with low literacy and reading skills and to provide them with a positive learning and cultural education experience. The project was also an excellent opportunity to promote the idea of lifelong learning and adult creativity. The most important effects of the project are primarily intangible - related to the development of creativity and students basic skills (writing, reading, counting), as well as computer skills, communication, teamwork, planning and conducting discussions. The project activities were to improve key skills, i.e. writing and reading comprehension, numeracy and IT skills. Working with groups of adults, we implemented various innovative methods to assess their effectiveness in the education process. We developped not only effective methods for writing, reading and numeracy skills, but also interesting methods to increase the level of adult involvement in their selfdevelopment. All partner institutions improved the quality of their own work and gained new experiences through the exchange of good practices. Teachers learned about innovative methods and they enriched their skills. During the training in Greece participants of the project - students, prepared digital stories on European issues with storytelling method. Their stories became an opportunity for discussion on the European Union and intercultural dialogue. Teachers and trainers involved in the project prepared "The Innovative Methods Guide" - a publication describing effective innovative methods for adult education process. They are examples of good practices. Each of the partner institutions used innovative methods during various activities with adults - during the first year of the project implementation they were carried out in a traditional way, and due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, they were mostly online. The team's international meetings took place in Poland, Great Britain, Romania (online) and Greece (hybrid). Training courses for students and staff were also organized in Spain and Greece (hybrid). "Learn together - create opportunities" project gave an opportunity to involve a group of Europeans in their own development, and contributed to changing their attitudes. It allowed partner institutions to expand the offer of activities targeted at adults. International activities promoted attitudes of tolerance, openness to other cultures and mutual understanding - so necessary in contemporary Europe. Learning together has created new educational opportunities and cooperation at European level has made it possible to get to know and understand other cultures.
