The project “Walk through Science” is a project in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science and Technology. It is addressed to secondary school students and teachers. The main goal of it is to promote MathScience disciplines and develop students’ scientific knowledge and teachers’ ability to work with new challenging methods. The project shows the students the importance of learning STEAM area subjects, the teachers the relevance to use interesting methods while teaching. Organizing poster campaign to promote MathScience disciplines, making the list of career in Science, writing the essays “My carrier in Science”, creating the magazine “Science and Technology Today”, preparing the Power Point presentation “MathScience oriented companies in my city/town/region/country”, visits to the local Science Centre, making films with the experiments titled “Trick or Science?”, photo contest “Physical phenomena”, visiting the partner schools are the main project activities dedicated to the students. They allow the pupils to better understand these difficult disciplines and find the way to bridge the gaps between education and the need on the labour market. Creating textbook “Learning Maths and Science” and guide “Teaching with Technology” are teachers’ work that investigate the current research areas of Mathematics and Science, improve the teaching methods in STEM, show and develop the use of new technologies and finally integrate ICT in the classroom. All the project activities are fully based on variety of ICT tools (eTwinning, Edmodo, Quizziz, Kahoot, Dropbox, Doodle, WhatsApp, Joomag, Calameo, ZeeMap, SlideShare, Microsoft Publisher, Padlet, Google Formula, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram) and this way they increase students’ appetite for learning Science and teachers’ ability for teaching with the support of the newest technology. Since English is the working language of the project the participants have a chance to improve their language skills. The project also help to develop non-formal aspects of education such as: historical and cultural awareness, European citizenship, respect to the variety of values and traditions. Expected impact of the project is: on the students: -They will be familiar with new learning styles, -They will explore ways in which they may become more actively engaged in their own learning, -They will develop skills that are required on the employment market in Europe' -They will improve their social skills and they will create friendships, -They will develop English skills by sharing information and experiences through the project, both via ICT and face to face meetings, -They will be more aware of the possibilities to study and work abroad in any European country, -It will promote active teamwork cooperation between peers from different European countries which will led to increased mutual understanding and respect for cultural and regional differences, on the staff: -They will gain experience in new teaching methods, -They will learn about teaching with the support of newest digital tools and devices, -They will experience how cross curricular activities may develop in a classroom environment, -They will develop the necessary skills to manage the implementation of MathScience lessons, -They will learn how to create and use resource materials in the classroom, -They will gain the new inspiration and teaching ideas by sharing experience with other teachers from partner schools, -They will promote multidisciplinary approaches in the fields of Mathematics and Science, -They will improve language skills, -They will be encouraged to teach in English, -They will improve management competences, -They will increase quality in the preparation, implementation, monitoring and follow up of EU/international projects on the participating organizations: -modern and professional environment inside the school, -integration of good practices and new methods into daily activities, -professional development for staff in the line with individual needs, -increased capacity and professionalism to work at EU/international level, -reinforced cooperation with partners from other countries, -It will increase schools' position in local community, -It develop a network with local authorities and associations dealing with educational and cultural issues. on stakeholders: -building innovative site of the school system and drawing wide site society's interest to the educational means these days. “Walk through Science” project is created to collaborate on long term, gain a lot from partnering with the schools from diverse locations and contribute to the education at the European high standards. It is designed to enhance the joy of learning and teaching.
