Project summary

The Erasmus parnerships called I am my life hero is to challenge big students' problems of weak activness in the school field and a low level of motivation. Having observed the present situation of the young' development, we notice some danger because of huge dynamics in the changing world, mixed up values, worse conditions of living and work. The idea of authority has been disappearing and a hero has gained a pejorative meaning, as a sign of weakness. The young without any hero lack a meaningful source of inspration. Being influenced with bad advisors, they loose their inner power and creativity. Our partnership is to make pupils notice the importance of taking right choices, find the strenght and motivation to fight weakness and help others who are in the lower position. The Partnership's work is to fill the word hero with good meaning and inspire students. The project's actions are intended to raise the students', relatives' and communities' awarness of good lifestyle and finally change students into active people, who know their value and notice the importance of gaining new skills and knowledge. We would like to offer activities which develop a positive identification as a hero – “I am able to do it!” and various learning styles and show everyone how the cooperation and help is valuable and important in life. Our active cooperation in common tasks will make our schools creative means of open education. The project work focus around 5 main events held in the partners schools according to the educative experience. They are called Weeks of National Hero, Healthy Hero, Sport Hero, Team Hero and Smart Hero. The Cypriot school is to present its competence in health education, the Italian one its sports involvement and the Spanish school will engage us into team skills. The Polish coordionator is to inspire us with programming and coding in order to introduce modern techology into our everyday teaching. During these special days we want to exchange and present our common activities in front of the whole schools' communities, who will be invited to participate actively. That is parents and families, the old and kindergartens, the minorities and the disabled will take concrete parts in the project. All the work will be integrated in the schools programmes and developed on everyday lessons and extra meetings. Thanks to wide range of activities, various subjects and teachers, as well as groups will be involved into our project. Our achievements will be promoted in the local, national and European communities. We are to act individually, locally and achieve a global awarness via ICT and English. The pupils' motivation will rise not only towards these subjects but also to undertake new responsibilties. We propose to work over the project's ideas approaching a multi-intelligent way, involving activities based on linguistic, ICT, artistic, sports and social skills.Participating in the activities in the similar areas, we'd like to compare experiences and get the conclusions which are to strengthen our educational work and help to improve it.

We spread our partnership via parallel eTwinning project Life Hero. We experienced that hero values do not have specific nationality.
