Project summary

“Traditions of our cultural heritage” this is the title of our project which the main goal is to make all the students aware of behaving and improving the knowledge about traditions of our regions. What does it mean “our regions”? It refers to regions in three particular countries (Italy, Greece, Poland) that try to go through with common project. Doing this project we want to know and develop different topics of the traditions typical in our region, country and European countries. We are all aware that opening the young people on a wide world and multiculturalism brings lots of benefits. Cultivating our traditions and national identity we would like to inherit the knowledge from knowledge-rich of other nations. All activities that are planned by us put a big emphasis on dissemination and presentation of our traditions as our cultural heritage. One of the reason of implementation of the project is the low level of the knowledge about traditions of regions in particular countries (Italy, Greece, Poland) among students and disappearing education between generations. The greatest social benefit after the realization of the project is the honoring of the traditions and strengthening cultural with families. Activities have been planned so that each member of the school community will take an active part in them. All students can find something for themselves, they will have great opportunity to develop their skills. We anticipated performance of different experiences, experiments, from very simple to more complex for all group of pupils. Everything is done by students themselves or in a small teacher’s direction. They will compete with each other for the title of master of olympic games, making cheese Mozzarella, Greek theatre, pottery. They will bake the bread, collect the herbs, make the traditional Greek puppets, sing the carols, crochet and embroider the ornaments, paint the eggs, make the crib. They will design the digital and paper calendar “Traditions - this is We”, virtual board (Padlet), the corner of our traditions (to show all our products). In the calendar we plan to attach the day of Greek, Italian and Polish in order to our school community could celebrate each day to implement the traditions of our countries. Exchanging between Poland, Greece, Italy should have the effect of opening the pupils to each other, for their full development and the possibility of saying that I am a European citizen. They will become the explorers of our traditions as a cultural heritage. They will be computer scientist, they will use information technology. Further activities targeted at pupils concern short-term exchanges of students groups. During the exchanges we use different methods and work of forms to achieve the best teaching effects such as: problematic, experiments, workshops, trips. They will talk about traditions using foreign language. One of the most important tasks of the project is its dissemination. We propose that this goal can be achieved through activities related to the promotion, advertising and dissemination of project results. This group includes activities such as: setting up a project website; blog, virtual board, digital and paper calendar “Traditions - this is We”, record some films and create the project refers to logo. During the meetings, partnership activities will be highly intensified. All partners of the project will revive the curiosity of life and strengthen the students’ interests and initiate new collaboration. National distinction doesn’t exclude itself, it doesn’t compete but it can become a valuable “international mosaic”.

Final report summary

Teachers of the School and Kindergarden team have decided to participate in Erasmus plus program, action KA229 to become part of a multicultural society and care for the highest European values. The school is located in a small town where students lack opportunities for interpersonal development, broadening their horizons and knowledge about the culture and traditions of other countries.
