TIME project aims through theatre methodology to improve inclusion and multiculturalism in Europe. So this project has ambitious objectives, like increasing motivation and participation of our students in their own learning, so that they can develop their autonomy, self-education, entrepreneurial spirit, ICT skills and oral and written skills in a foreign language, and therefore, enhance the prospects of future employment. TIME also offers our students the opportunity to learn about other European cultures, expand their intercultural competences and promote their European citizenship, contributing to modify stereotypical behaviour, overcoming exclusionary clichés, developing capabilities for observation and analysis of the reality that surrounds our students. By promoting the debate, research and the exchange of good practice, we support the development of expertise and improve the management and transfer of knowledge, raise awareness of the importance of European cultural heritage through education and lifelong learning and encourage the sharing and appreciation of Europe's cultural heritage as a shared resource, raise awareness of common history and values and strengthen the sense of belonging to a common European area. At the same time is well documented that theatre improves students’ self-esteem and self-confidence, raising awareness on how theatre, music and preforming arts in general can become a medium to boost autonomy, to develop critical thinking, to build stronger bonds with others, and to participate actively in educational activities. Discover others and themselves in the stage play, get to know their own body and its expressive possibilities, its elasticity, and widen the students’ imagination. In order to achieve TIME's goal we will use pre and post questionnaire about European citizenship; evaluate progress in English and ICT communication skills; and develop group dynamic students and teachers about self evaluation and project evaluation at the begining and at the end of our project. In the middle way we will promote several activities and short term training events in order to share good practices and develop an European citizenship. We also intend to produce an E-book with several drama activities aiming personal development and improve community education and arts awareness. This is TIME for theatre as contributor to inclusion and multiculturalism in Europe!
