As we all know, family is the smallest unit of the society and is the first place where the foundation of education is to be taken. But, in recent years there is a considerable increase of divorce rate in all partner countries. When the family institution suffers, it directly affects the educational life of students. We know home and school both aim to achieve the same objective, namely how to help children learn, become good and responsible individuals and as a result achieve success in their lives. Many different studies show that if parents and teachers cooperate, students will get better results at schools, attend classes regularly, their behaviour improves and also they develop positive attitudes to school. We know the cooperation of school-parents and students are the basics of successful education. Participant Schools' teachers will learn to distinguish between conflict, different forms of bullying and alternative forms of aggression which can become harmfull to academic success, self-image and community building. Teachers will explore the healty sides of conflict and learn strategies to encourage much more effective communication and social skills, through a range of activities which easily adapted to any classroom. Participants will enjoy a wide range of awareness of the students' emotional needs and their potential for social and individual growth and will acquire specific strategies to promote a positive climate in schools and prevent peer-bullying. Children from disadvantaged backgrounds or with fewer opportunities will participate in the activities, with the main aim of reducing the peer-bullying . These activities will also foster quality improvements, innovation excellence and internationalization at the level of education. This project has been created for teachers who want to guide their classes through the inevitable tensions, relational struggles and agressive behavior among students which can inhibit learning and create an unfavourable classroom environment. We believe that the project we are applying, facilitate the growth of self-confidence of the child and stimulate motivation for learning. We want diversity in school supply so that each student, even if he is from a disadvantaged group to have acces to quality education, to have a positive attitude about school and to find something interesting and enjoyable in every lesson. We planned our activities to realize our disadvantages pupils' social and emotional troubles, what violence ( shows itself as peer-bullying at schools) means for them, how bullying occurs in different cultures and how they cope with it.As a result, by the help of planned activities such as visiting divorced and expatriate familiesand sharing experiences, organizing anti-bullying marches in each partner countries' special days or weeks, organizing a tour to a Chid Protection Agency or Nursery Home, motivating these disadvantages students to a physical activities ( a sport activity etc...), organizing a dinner meeting with these disadvantages students and their parents, we will overcome bullying especially peer-bullying. While carrying out these activities we will use workshop, total physical response-because during the project we will visit different schools and see their environments. , role play techniques and communicative approach- every participant will be in touch with eachothers during the project. We ( Romania, Turkey, Spain, Bulgaria and Lithuania) decided on 4 pupils between the ages of 1215 ( because pupils are in the period of adolescence between these ages) and 2 accompanying teachers especially suits the mentioned criterias for each mobility. By the help of implementation, our project will reach a wide range of people. As a result of this project, we will raise awareness about bullying especially peer-bullying and we will turn the negative attitudes to positive ones, minimize the rate of bullying at schools and socialize these disadvantages
At the beginning of the Project, we, 5 partner schools from Romania,Turkey,Bulgaria,Spain and Lithuania stated that family is the smallest unit of the society and the first place where foundations of education are to be taken and also said that in recent years there is a considerable increase in divorce rate in all partner countries. So, children who grew up in broken homes are directly affected and they have a tendency to bullying more than their peers. Moreover, we know many studies Show that if parents and school cooperate, the students get more positive learning environment, attend classes regularly and have a successful school life without bullying. With this Erasmus+ Project named ‘Be Buddy NOT Bully’, we aimed to minimize the amount of bullying cases especially among disadvantaged group students whose parents are divorced and have to work out of the city or country to create a positive learning environment fort hem, to maket hem learn the feeling of success and also to socialize them. Our Project team included five partner schools from Romania,Turkey,Bulgaria,Spain and Lithuania. There were 5 LTTs in the Project and at least 4 students and 2 accompanying person attended the LTT activities, but the number of the students, teachers and local participants were more in host countries. The last mobility in the Project which is to Turkey was a virtual mobility because of Covid-19 pandemic,so there were more participants in this mobility(approximately 120 participants)With this virtual mobility, our participants had a chance to learn and use some web2 tools. Each host country planned a mobility that has a different theme, topic connected to main topic, bullying. Our Project lasted in 36 months and during this time we achieved; -Seminars given by experts to understand what is bullying in fact, different types of bullying and find permanent solutions to prevent peer bullying and promote a positive climate at schools. -Visiting expatriate and divorced families to share experience and good examples. -Organizing tours to Child Protection Agencies,Nursery Home and Greenhouse to make our students try to understand other people’s feelings, socialize them and develop the sense of responsibility. -Motivating disadvantaged students to physical activities or some courses such as music and art to direct their negative energy and feeling to positive one. -Delivering handouts in different schools and city center to inform other students, educators and local people.Writing postcards to their peers living in foreign countries to increase their communication ability in foreign language(English) -Organizing marches abot bullying to popularize our Project.Visiting local authorities and presentingthem the materials about our Project such as pens, blocknotes, masks and cups,T-shirts etc…Also we had a websiteof our Project. We founded an eTwinning Project version of our Erasmus+ oroject. We published all the activities on our schools’ websites and local and our own schools’s newspapers also published our Project’s news.By the help of dissemination activities our Project reached a wide range of people and shared good examples and experiences and took attention to our Project.
