In our country, 10% of the students enrolled in the vocational high school are students with learning disabilities who were diagnosed at the previous education levels. Because of the socio-cultural and economic structure of the region we are living in, the schools are in a unique learning environment for these students who are fell behind from their peers in terms of their psychosocial and cognitive development characteristics. At the same time, the fact that these students from families with low economic levels do not have any other social facilities than the schools increases the responsibilities of the schools one more time. Despite the fact that the legal regulations regarding the education of our students with learning disabilities are complete, there are serious difficulties in the practice of the schools. As there is inability of our vocational education staff to reach the resources, methods and techniques that can be used in their education ,it causes to be insufficient in achieving the basic objectives of education and training, such as providing vocational qualification for students with learning disabilities. This situation causes an obligation that our teachers continuously improve their knowledge and skills on their own. Known education-teaching methods, training modules used in vocational education are inadequate in the professional development of special needs students. In order to plan and sustain a quality education course for these students, it is necessary to improve the qualifications of vocational education personnel in this area. This project, which is planned to be realized on the basis of team work and collaborative learning method with 7 schools from 6 different countries and a total of 126 participants, aims to contribute to the development of the vocational training qualifications of vocational education personnel employed in the departments that provide intermediary personnel such as Public Relations, Marketing, Office Management, Logistics and Tourism . This is the main objective of the project, and these are the expected outcomes for our teachers who are project participants as a result of the success of this project : Preparing an effective and functional individualized education plan for each of the students who have learning difficulties in the departments that develop intermediate staff in the service sector such as Public Relations, Marketing, Office Management, Logistics ; to analyzing the professional needs of the students correctly; knowing the methods and techniques that can be used in and out of the classroom and applying them effectively; having an effective time management of in-class applications of students with learning disabilities; planning individual studies for students with learning disabilities ; managing the skills training of students with learning disabilities according to individual differences and characteristics of students; creating learning environments for students with learning disabilities where they will feel safe . As PISA director Andreas Schleicher expressed when evaluating the Turkey education system, "if you come from disadvantaged section ,you have only one chance in your life: Receiving good education." In parallel with this opinion, one of the most important issue to be emphasized in education is that the most needy gets the best education and it is necessary that this project should be actualized so that our teachers can be transformed into guides that can develop creative solutions to the problems they experience . This situation in vocational education is not only seen in our country but also in all countries. The evaluation of the teaching methods applied to these students in different countries with the educators with different experiences in a common pool will contribute to the development of vocational education programs applied to these students. Four Learning Teaching Trainings, which will last for 5 days, are planned so that the project can achieve its designated goals. Participants who will take part in these Learning Teaching Trainings will design educational materials that will be used in the training process of students who have learning difficulties in the areas that provide intermediate staff in the service sector such as Public Relations, Marketing, Office Management, Logistics. These educational materials will be distributed as a booklet at the end of the project. However, project activities and outputs will be published on the project website, on partner schools’ websites, in social media, in school magazines and will be made available to everyone concerned. The educational materials and videos to be prepared within the scope of the project will be shared in the Education Information Network (EBA) of the Ministry of National Education after being reviewed and evaluated in detail.
