Project summary

The European Union has pointed to the correct use of digital skills in its Horizon 2020. We want 21st century ICT skills to be transformed into true and sustainable behavior in education. We want to create a pool of Web 2.0 tools that we can use for all those who need it in mathematics and science education. It is indispensable to achieve the science lessons and mathmatics that will shape the future of our students. The reasons which motivate us into this project are ; -the decline in the student success in science/maths lessons -the decline of self-confidence in the form of learned helplessness - students can't embody the knowledge -students are highly interested in technology and web 2 tools instead of trying to do their best in courses - PISA results in which we as Turkey and our partners are back in succession in mathematics and science courses -Correct use of digital skills in Europan Union Horizon 2020 - students don't have any self confidence in English which is the language of technology So because of all these reasons ,we needed to work together to find a solution and gain back our students attention into science and maths lessons again. We will combine web 2 tools, which is the interest of the students , and the mathematics and science lessons in which they feel desperate in one Project. With the help of the web 2 tools, knowledge will be more concrete and students will be more prone to succeed in challenging courses. Mathmatics and science teachers of the coordinator and the partner countries will collabrate and make a list of the subjects in which students have most difficulty to learn.Using our schools' opportunities ,teachers will create a digital class consisting of 25-30 students who are very interested in technology and web 2 tools but bad at science and maths lessons. Then teachers will be given a training course by the key person about how to use web 2 tools in the lessons and prepare more productive lesson plans. In Italy web 2tools in Mathmatics workshop and in Lithuania science courses workshop will be organized for teachers and students. In Romania students and teachers will have language skills workshop in which web 2 tools will be used too. After each of these meetings ,the teachers will prepare new lesson plans which will be accessible to anyone in the project website and apply the lesson plans prepared with the web 2 tools to the students in the digital class, the lessons will be recorded and the videos will be uploaded to the project website. After the exams ,exam analyses will be obtained and students' success will be followed.Teachers will prepare a project brochure in which it has -lesson plans -web 2 tools used during the project -photos and video images about the meetings -subjects-web 2 tools match-up This brochure will be a handbook for all teachers who need to richen their lesson. These brochures will be disseminated in the meeting with parents, local authorities, other local schools at each par the help of the project website, education will go on outside of the classrooms, students will be able to listen to the same lessons from partner countries ‘ teachers too, with the materials uploaded to the Project website we will reach a lot of teachers in Europe and Turkey and will be able to ensure sustainability of the project. With the help of the project website, education will go on outside of the classrooms, students will be able to listen to the same lessons from partner countries ‘ teacahers too, with the materials uploaded to the Project website we will reach a lot of teachers in Europe and Turkey and will be able to ensure sustainability of the project.
