Objectives

Our special interest lies in the teaching methods and teaching aids, also with the help of the use of digital media and apps, which we want to acquire and deepen. Especially in the area of school site-specific subjects, we consider it extremely important to achieve the greatest added value or improvement here. We see a good planning and organization of CLIL lessons or foreign language lessons as a competitive advantage for our students compared to other schools in the European and international context, i.e. we have set ourselves the goal of expanding and deepening our foreign language competencies and our teaching methods for subject-specific lessons or foreign language lessons. This increased knowledge and further training of the participating colleagues should also benefit the entire college by offering a good exchange and cooperation between the subject groups and through SCHILFs. This project is the foundation for the linguistic challenges for the planned transnational cooperation with other schools within the framework of the training firms or school partnerships and student exchanges.

Background

Our school site offers students three branches of education with a business focus, an international focus, and a multimedia or digital focus. This extensive range of teaching content requires us teachers to continuously educate ourselves and to always be up to date with the latest developments of our time. We see it as our task and also our duty to be able to offer our students the latest teaching methods and the latest developments in the school sector. We also consider it our mission as educators to engage in and try new things. Since we have received a directive from the Bildungsdirektion that CLIL (content and language integrated learning) lessons should or must be carried out in the subject areas, we see it as a great concern for our school to design these lessons in the best possible way and with the greatest benefit for the students, but also for us teachers. In addition, we consider it essential for foreign language teaching that our colleagues receive further training.
