The goals that have been pushed with the project are to be understood in view of the background of our school and the students. The students of the school come from socially, economically and/or politically disadvantaged families. They have an incredible potential, but they need the right environment and methods to develop it. The school should be a place for this. With the help of the completed mobilities, the students should now be offered a low-threshold access to build, expand and deepen valuable competencies in the areas of art and culture, mental and physical health and personal development. Key competencies that the students were to acquire were native language competence, foreign language competence, cultural awareness and expression, social and civic competence, and learning competence. This means that self-awareness, self-esteem, performance competence, language competence should be promoted through art, culture and health.
The participants teach in a special school where mainly children with learning difficulties and low social and emotional competence attend school. In order to counteract these problems, the project was selected and implemented in the areas of art, culture and health. Another important reason for training abroad is to get to know and then implement new teaching and learning methods. The relevance is especially given in this special school, because it is a so-called "hotspot school" and possibilities to increase learning motivation and an expansion of differentiation are especially needed at this school.
