Objectives

With the implementation of the project, a development of foreign language skills was reached as well as an exchange of innovative teaching and learning methods in subject-related and interdisciplinary teaching. Furthermore, we aimed at the reinforcement of internal exchange between colleagues (teamwork) and, additionally, the international exchange between teachers on further education seminars. In this respect, the possible formation of international contacts leading to new school partnerships was desirable. The implementation of four mobilities should motivate more colleagues to participate in the Erasmus+ program to the end that education is considered an inseparable part of the European community of shared values.

Background

The Adalbert Stifter Gymnasium considers education as an inseparable part of the European community of shared values and participates as such in the European educational programme Erasmus+ on a regular basis. Since 2013 the school has been maintaining a partnership between Musikgymnasium Linz (part of Adalbert Stifter Gymnasium) and Musikgymnasium Prague, which has been in operation since 2016 as part of Key Action 2 (strategic partnerships). This cooperation resulted in numerous friendships, music collaborations and contributed to a rewarding exchange of methods between both institutions, optimizing foreign language skills and raising career prospects of the students participating. Enhancing employee skills is highly valued at Adalbert Stifter Gymnasium. The project “Development of foreign language skills and exchange of innovative teaching and learning methods in subject-related and interdisciplinary teaching” took place as part of the programme Key Action 1.
