Objectives

We are planning a multilateral youth exchange between June 29th, 2019 and July 8th, 2019. It will take place at the youth- and cultural center Corner in Salzburg. Besides our visitors, we anticipate 20 other adolescents from Ireland and Italy. Each of the groups will be accompanied by two group leaders. The planning visit takes place from 3th to 5th May in Salzburg. One group leader and one participant from every organisation take part at this meeting. We are inviting adolescents who are interested either in an exchange with other adolescents or in learning about new cultures. Some of the participants have difficulties overcoming obstacles such as school, apprenticeship or finding a job. That is why they need cognitive impulses as well as different perspectives from time to time. Through sports like hiking, climbing or beachvolleyball the participants will be given the opportunity to deal with mental barriers, to analyze problems and to develop action patterns for solving them. There will be two workshops in the field of music (rap and vocal coaching), a bike workshop and sports workshops (climbing and beach volleyball). New workshop groups should generally be formed every day. The invitation of two counselors, one on risk management and one on job search and the European Solidarity Corps, is in the planning. They will give lectures on three evenings to create a base for discussion. Everyday challenges or tasks represent an unique obstacle for everyone. That is why every person should define their own obstacle and try to overcome it by all available means. During the entire project we will be paying attention to the balance of adolescents from different national groups inside the workshop groups. Unathletic adolescents or physically disabled adolescents can take part in all activities. Great value is set upon the work in small groups inside of the workshop groups and upon reports on the workshops' state of play. The daily music-, bike- and sports workshops will be developed and conducted by professionals in association with our team.
