The Youth Exchange "I want to break free" is meant to be an opportunity for the participants to break out of their everyday lives, punch their routines and engage in new experiences and exchange with others. Through non-formal methods and an accompanied reflection process, the participants are encouraged to leave their comfort zone according to the "challenge by choice" principle and deal with questions that are of importance in their lives. The participants, as well as the project team, will consciously do so without any digital devices, internet and social media. We want to increase the presence of all participants and give them the opportunity to see things from a different perspective, to give creativity free rein and to focus better on themselves, the group and the topic. In this way, we want to maximize the intensity of the experience and the resulting learning success. For this process, we will initially determine and reflect on our own usage behaviour of digital devices, the internet and social networks. In the disconnection-ceremony, the focus is directed away from digital devices and towards freedom, well-being and connection with oneself, others and nature. With non-formal learning methods, we focus on the individual needs and learning goals of our participants and support the development of competencies. Our goals: #To experience conscious engagement with oneself, to deal with one's own fears, dreams, priorities, and to pay attention to one's own well-being, instead of being exposed to the pressure of self-optimization #To build a social network with the other participants that is not based on competition but on cooperation # To consciously use our senses, observe perceptions, go through the day with mindfulness, liveliness and presence, instead of a digital excess of stimuli #To live out creativity #To recognize time and energy as resources #To consciously take time for reflection (alone as well as accompanied in groups), instead of rushing through it #To reintegrate digital devices consciously, the long-term success of which is enabled and supported by a buddy system The participants get to know each other better through this project. This not only results in personal development and increased self-esteem but also in the ability to orient oneself in life and find one's place in society. By recognizing their potential and interests, it is easier for the participants to identify suitable occupational fields and enter the labour market. There, they will benefit from the key competencies developed, as well as the willingness to leave the comfort zone and to continuously keep learning and developing. The ability to collaborate in international teams, to communicate in foreign languages and the newfound awareness of how to use digital devices will provide them with a decisive advantage. The participants will recognize the Youthpass as an instrument to communicate their developed competencies and soft skills to others, will use and disseminate opportunities for young people in Europe (eg Erasmus +) and will become enthusiastic about the European project. The young people should feel empowered to engage in a connected and diverse Europe, to take initiative, to shape Europe as an active citizen and to pass on experiences as multipliers. Our partners and we will carry out the planned project because we are convinced of its impact on strengthening Europe. We aim to develop cooperation with our PO further and give young people the experiences that give us the strength to take responsibility for our future, for our society and for Europe. Europe grows with every transnational friendship, with every Erasmus + project and every gathering of young people. Our mission is it to awake the European spirit.
