Background

The CCGPE DGEO for work-study secondary education, technical, vocational and specialized secondary education was set up in 2008 by decree of the French Community. It is chaired by a member of the Cabinet of the functional Minister and is located at the General Directorate of Compulsory Education within the Ministry of the French Community. It is responsible, in particular, for acting as interlocutor to serve as an intermediary between, on the one hand, the establishments of sandwich course, technical, professional, specialized education, the organizing authorities and the education networks, and on the other hand, the Minister, the agency and the European decision-making structures, with regard to the programs of the European Social Fund, the programs of initiative and the various action programs of the EU, for actions whose the objectives are to facilitate the socio-professional integration of people under the age of twenty-five. In accordance with the last decree of October 17, 2013, the role of the support organization is devolved to the CCGPE DGEO with regard to the mobility projects in which the establishments participate. It is in this capacity that the CCGPE DGEO presented this project in order to support the schools in their external activities, to contribute to internationalization and to their openness to exchanges of good practices with European peers and above all to give the opportunity to students and trainers to participate in the Erasmus programme.
