Overcoming skills mismatches (basic/transversal)Labour market issues incl. career guidance / youth unemployment

Objectives

- We try to reinforce a positive attitude towards Europe among both our pupils and teachers. - Strengthen IT skills. - Develop individual learning paths. - Give European work experience to our pupils. - Disseminate and incorporate innovative processes.

Background

This project consisted of two pillars: 1- Student internships in Europe. We wanted to give our students the opportunity to do a foreign European work placement and thus, in addition to the actual job training, get a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experience during their school career. Pupils who gain such a foreign experience thereby gain extra value in the labour market. The school can thereby add to the attractiveness of its fields of study. 2- Teachers and principals on job shadowing to learn best practice experiences. Our strategic objective states that all staff should do an Erasmus+ experience once every 10 years. And we obviously want to raise the standard of teaching further within our VET departments by studying good practices and innovative processes at partner schools and then integrating them into our school.
