Objectives

We wanted to achieve three clear objectives for this project. At school level we wanted to further develop our school profile of being viewed as 'that one school' which puts high focus on internationalisation as leverage for the development of competence and personality of our students. A second goal, also at a school level was to further develop our management skills in a large part of the team in terms of project management. Thirdly at student level we aimed with this project to offer our students alternative learning opportunities targeting positive learning outcomes. Alternative meaning on top of a normal Belgian curriculum.

Background

We saw following reasons to apply for this project. Our school developped her own methode, the MAX methode, which consists of 2 anchorpoints, highly effective education and tailor-made individual development of students. Internationalisation offers high leverage in realising this school vision. The mobility for international internships was the first step we took in internationalisation. Taking into consideration that our internship programs London 2018 and 2019 and Dublin 2020 were very successfull we found it obvious to continue this program of international internships. This program also seems to be a great leverage for the personal development of our students who mostly live in a less favoured environment. Applying and realising this project offers the opportunity for our school to further develop its skills and professionalism in terms of projectmanagement. Furthermore we notice that an ERASMUS+ project like this one, allows us to work strongly towards development of social and multicultural skills as well as European values, which do match with our school values. This project as such puts focus to cooperative skills and mutual respect.
