Background

Taking internships abroad is a great opportunity offered by Erasmus+ we can't throw away. We are a school in Brussels. The majority of youngsters from vocational training and technical education have already accumulated a learning deficit during their school carrier. A lack of motivation and a lower self esteem are consequences. Yet we notice that learning in a functional, practical context can be a challenge that triggers the pupils and can be a catalyst for the learning process. That’s why we see the practice abroad as a year project that consists of a decent preparation, the internship and a reflection period afterwards.
