This project is set up around the topic of migration following various activities carried out within the many associations taking part in it. Indeed, in the field social workers have seen, through the European project ACT or through various local activities, that young people are not always well informed or made aware of the issue of migration. It's one thing to hear about it in the media, but it's another thing to try to understand and realize the different issues involved. During those moments of activity, social workers have often been confronted with questions or reflections such as "Why are they here? Why do not we offer them a better welcome? »,« He left his country by himself while he is younger than me»,« I don’t know what I can do to help them »,« It might be better for him to return to his country », "We can not welcome all the misery of the world here" ... etc. Through this project which will take place from 12th to 24th August of 2019, we want to create a space for reflection and exchange around the topic of migration to keep our target audience informed and educated on those issues. During the exchange the young people will be able to go further in their reflections. They will be able to confront their positions and thus build their own opinions as an individual and as a group. Specifically, during the project, we will exploit the fact that we’ll be with partners who are all on the migratory route on different levels. It will be a unique opportunity to take time to exchange views that reflect different realities. Following these moments of approach and awareness, we will define a common position to all participants in order to confront it to the population. Indeed, part of the project will take place in direct connection with the people from Brussels since we’ll be organizing activities in different places in the city around central issues related to migration. This direct exchange with the population will allow to confront the position of the group in front of the multiple individualities which, by their subject, will be able to feed the creation of a spectacle of puppets. Indeed, the realization of this exchange will consist in the presentation of a puppet show during an event created for this occasion and which will invite the whole population to discover what has been produced during this exchange. Throughout this project, we would use from non-formal education's technique as well as many artistic and creative workshops such as photography, video, stencil or puppetry, so that the participants involved will be the more comfortable in expressing their ideas and in communicating with the group. Subsequently, this project can be disseminated through an educational kit that will be made during the exchange. Each briefcase will be composed of a video showing several moments of the youth exchange as well as the entire puppet piece, a file of the screen-printing motif (as well as a pre-screen printed T-shirts) and a photo language. All of this will be used to spread more widely what was produced during this exchange. After their return, each of the partners will have to make several sensitization sessions in order to present the teaching kit. This awareness will be aimed at their local partners and young people of their service. To carry out these sensitizations, the young people who took part in the project will then be a significant resource and they will be able to share and explain all the progress that will have taken place during the project as well as the different phases of reflection.
