We had the opportunity to go to our partner in Georgia for 5 days in August 2018 to discuss the topic of Human Rights and Social Rights. During this exchange, during informal moments and moments of reflection, we decided by mutual agreement to reproduce this project and for this new exchange, to welcome the group of Georgians in Belgium during the summer of 2019. Subsequently , our long-time partner, Ayuntamiento de Cabra, Delegacion de Juventud was interested in our project and joined us in the organization and creation of this new exchange. This exchange will therefore take place from 23 to 28 July 2019, our group of young Belgians with the help of Gîte d'Etape - CRH Villers-Ste-Gertrude will be the hosts and will receive in the village of the same name a group of Georgians youth and a group of spanish youth. This exchange will have for first objective the discovery of the urban art like tool of expression and sensitization to the environmental stakes with the aim of adapting the different techniques of this art in rural environment. This theme was acclaimed last year during a discussion in the framework of the exchange in Georgia. Young people proposed a theme that was important to them and a way to approach it. Then, a vote among all the proposals was made and the topic of urban art in rural areas got the most votes. A group of young people who are part of the Spanish association partner, through the leader of the association with whom we work regularly, also showed a keen interest in the theme of this new exchange. The overall objective remains the same: to get to know other young people, to discover a relevant subject, to discover new cultures and habits, to reinforce intercultural understanding, to learn how to live together, etc. It will be for young people the opportunity to discover a new way of expression, communication, exchange. It will also be an opportunity to discuss related topics such as access to art and culture. But also the new techniques of urban art such as environmental and ecological street art and therefore to educate young people on environmental issues and climate change. This project is intended as an experienced laboratory where the discovery of new techniques, awareness and sharing of good practices will be privileged. The ambition of this project is to propose actions and solutions to integrate urban art techniques in rural areas to allow greater freedom of expression and exchange with the local population. To achieve this it will be: - discover and experiment with new artistic skills - to foster creativity, - tame the notion of "street art" and experiment with different techniques selected by young people, - understand how art (and therefore street art) can be useful and can have an impact on society, - open the debate between young people from different cultures about their conception of street art and environmental issues, - meet local artists, - become aware of current ecological issues (and other issues) through this form of art, - become aware of street art as a tool for advocacy and awareness of environmental issues. Finally, the transversal objectives of this exchange are the following: - Urban art as a vector of inclusiveness, expression and appreciation of the diversity of young people in our society. - To confront cultural differences and habits of life in order to strengthen intercultural understanding and value European wealth. - Promote European values such as a more inclusive society, diversity, solidarity, tolerance, etc. - Develop, share and acquire technical skills, know-how and know-how through the establishment, organization and monitoring of an international exchange. - Deepen the contact and the relations created with the young Georgians met a year ago in their country and discover new personalities and realities with the young Spaniards. - Promote the mobilization, active participation and (co) empowerment of young people by giving them the opportunity to be the bearers and actors of their project. - Live an unforgettable human
