We: Konekt, karavaan, Aspanias and Parteluz , all work with young people and we believe in their talents. Konekt and Aspanias work with people with a disability. Parteluz and karavaan with people without a disability and sometimes fewer opportunities. (social and economic obstacles) In this Talent Journey we want the youngsters to push their boundaries, discover their talents and meet other people and cultures. We focus on the individual learning pad of each participant. Every youngster pushes his limits during the workshops and discovers his talents. Every youngster chooses one goal he/she wants to achieve during the trip. We also plan a 2 day hike of a part of the Camino trail with the group. The Camino Trail is a very valuable in self-reflection and introspection. We reflect about the experiences every day. This reflections learns de youngsters more’ about their selves, their strengths, the way they can use them; It will boost their self-esteem and extend their self-knowledge. We also want to improve the cultural awareness and understanding of other cultures. We want to offer our the opportunity to build networks of international contacts using non-formal education. We encourage inclusive friendship bases on common interest. We also want to improve the awareness among the able youngsters about the talents and gifts peers with disabilities have. After the project we want the youngsters with a disability to find their way to the activities from Karavaan and Partelus. This project is the ideal kick-off for further collaborations in Belgium and Spain for both organisations. Another goal is that the youngsters with special needs dare to take the step to participate in other regular youth organizations beside Karavaan and Parteluz. We want to contribute to a more inclusive world like that. We want to share our good practices by writing an article for the Karavaan travel brochure and for the local papers in Burgos. We also want to make a video that we use as a good practice of inclusion to inspire other youth organisations in Belgium and Spain. We show that diversity a win for organisations and society. Thereafter we want to develop as organisation by improving our quality of teaching, discover new ways to innovate and by cooperating with international partners with a common objective.
