Our first objective is that we want youngsters to take back new methods of involvement in daily city farm work. Also new activities, were we worked on during the exchange. We want them to convince the policy makers of their city farm that youngsters have a voice, meaning and a lot of creativity to contribute the work on a city farm. For city farms it gives new opportunities, like organising children camps during vacation. This can be done by youngsters, together with the staff of the city farm. The second objective is about sustainability. A lot of the young people, being volunteer on a city farm, are aware of the importance of local, organic food, zero waste, respect for nature, climate... but we think this should be like a 'red wire' in all the activities and projects on a city farm. Sometimes we think this is evident, but we overlook logic issues. By implementing this in the programme, we are constant aware of the why and how we organise things.
