Our main goals were the following: 1. Increasing the success of our students and shaping them as individuals capable of finding their place in the modern global world. 2. Improving the qualification for teachers and assisting their transformation into modern European type of teachers who build the future. 3. Following the successful, working practices in Bulgaria and European countries.
Our school - 121 Comprehensive school "Georgi Izmirliev" Sofia - wanted to participate in a program that would stimulate our teachers to get acquainted with the most recent methods and practices in the area of elementary and secondary education. We wanted to provide our hundreds of students with an education that is comparable with the best European standards and we decided that the best way to achieve that is to send our teachers abroad, so they could learn from the best. We wanted to be a school that provides its teachers to opportunity to advance and grow as professionals.
