Objectives

With the implementation of the project, we aimed to increase the attention to so-called "soft skills" and more precisely the 4 C's: communication, critical thinking, collaboration and creativity. Skills on which we believe that 21st-century education should be at stake in order to bring out people who are not only knowledgeable of certain facts and possessing a certain amount of knowledge, but thinking individuals who are able to communicate with each other, collaborate and find creative solutions to problems. Our main goals were based on building skills for the development of the four main "soft skills" and applying them in the structure of lessons and classroom management models. Implementation of research and project-based approaches.Targeting knowledge, skills and activities building on the compulsory programme. Motivation through research challenges, personal and community-relevant objectives and objects of research and interpretation. Development of the teamwork of educators by sharing "good practices", improving their international awareness and ability to learn from the experiences of other European countries.

Background

Education in Bulgaria needs to change. Just as the world is changing at a rapid pace, every sphere of life needs to be in tune with the overall flow. Children of the 21st century are different. And every year they become more and more different from previous generations. However, there are human values and a need for skills that remain necessary for all time. In education, knowledge is emphasized, but what is no less valuable and essential is the ability to think. That is why the theme of our project is: " Know is good, think is better (Innovative European practices for the development of critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration in the school of the 21st century)" With this project we wanted to realize the possibility of exchanging "good practices" with European partners who are already working in this way and to share and disseminate these so-called "soft skills", which we find to be extremely important for modern society, and the place to build them - the school. We strive to increase the quality of education by expanding its European dimensions, meeting the interests and needs of students and parents and developing the pedagogical team.
