Objectives

The idea of this youth exchange is to focus on the traditional gaming practices of European peoples to be observed, described and implemented by the young participants. So they will get acquainted with the games of their grandparents, and of course - they will learn the game itself. The project aims to help participants learn old traditional games and share them with their friends from partner countries. This will bring generations and nationalities closer to the big European family. Young people will find their own and the difference between them in a real gaming environment. The main task that partner organizations place is through the promotion and sharing of traditional games to create prerequisites for intercultural dialogue, tolerance and social inclusion of young people. The realization of the activities envisaged will show how through the games of the young people skills for teamwork, pooling and friendly communication can be raised in the presence of cultural differences, how to solve problems and achieve motivation through games. It is no secret to anyone that the more a community is more cohesive, the easier it is to deal with internal and external problems and challenges. Games and competitions are powerful motivating factors and an attractive tool for various training purposes for young Europeans. The gaming method provides teenagers with the opportunity to develop and pool their skills to serve them for future personal, professional and social development. SC "Tornado-2013-Sofia" envisages the realization of this project to be directed towards combating the negative prejudices by sharing traditional gaming practices. Through entertaining folklore games, the attention of the participants will be directed towards building a more tolerant and solidarity attitude towards people from different cultures. The main goal of the project is to empower young people, in a game form, to master social models to reach intercultural dialogue, tolerance and social inclusion of young people. The performance of traditional folklore plays will facilitate the perception of their ideo-aesthetic world, preserving the generational memory of the peoples of the Balkans over the centuries. We will show how to accept and respect the differences and appreciate them as cultural treasures. How young people can be taught skills to work in a team, unite and communicate in the presence of cultural differences. Because through the games the young man not only meets the outside world, but also with the lives of the people involved in the game. They teach love, compassion, friendship, ambition, independence, insight. In a simple and easy way, they develop imagination, attention, logical thinking, observability, dexterity. Each game puts the player in front of some problematic situations, while solving his / her thinking. The other main goals we have set are: 1. Familiar with the traditional games of Romania, Serbia, Macedonia and Bulgaria. 2. Encourage young people to participate in social life and activities aimed at preserving the cultural heritage. 3. Exploring the games of interest to them and reducing the negative impact of information technology on the development of young people. 3. Establish a lasting relationship between young people from the four countries, through the acquisition of good practices, knowledge and experience from partner organizations. 4. Promote the opportunities of the Education Enhancement Program of the Young Generation. The traditional games that will be played by the young people in the project, meetings with local organizations and folk groups, accompanying activities to develop existing potential, exchange of experience and good practices will be a resource to expand our vision and ideas. we achieve effective dialogue, solidarity and tolerance and we will continue to work more actively for active youth inclusion in educational processes.
