The project "Soft Skills, Hard Workers" aims to develop the soft skilsl of young people aged 18-25. The idea for the project came out during our work with students - teenagers aged 16-18. During activities, whose aim was to develop their teamwork spirit and make their work at school more efficient afterwards, we noticed that young people lack a lot of skills which they need to complete elementary tasks. Tha lack of real ""eye to eye" communication with friends, relatives, colleagues do not allow youngsters develop skills which make them more compettive on the labour market and more adaptive as personalities. This is the reason why our work is focused on skills which develop youngsters in both professional and personal area. Thirty people will take part in this youth exchange - 5 facilitators, 5 group leaders and 20 youngsters aged 16-25. The age limit is required due to the reason that exactly students graduating schools and universities and just entering the labour market need the skills developed in order to communicate in the correct way which is different from the one they use in communication with friends and classmates. During the youth exchange, we are going to pay attention to the following skills: - communicative skills; - teamwork skills; - conflict management; - time management; - decision making; - organisational skills; - presentational skills; - digital skills; - stress relief; For the purpose of the project activity, non-formal methodology and learning by doing methods will be applied. Some elements will be examined through the prism of emotional intelligence. Theatre techniques, presentations, team work, roleplay, debates, simulations, outdoor activities will take place. As a result of the work realised before, during and after the youth exchange, youths will have a clearer view on their own abilities, they would be able to objectively evaluate themselves and realize what values they need to work on in order to develop them in a positice direction. Youths will learn how to control their emotions, listen, convey a clear message to the target group they want; analyse and take informed decisions; be patient and tolerant and make compromises in the name of a common goal; be more initiatve and resonsible active citizens of this spciety. In addition to everything else, participants will get back to their home culturally enriched. They will know more about four more nations, cultures, languages.
