Objectives

The main goal of the Y.E.S.- G. R. E. E. N. project ("Young Entrepreneurs at School - Go, Research and Explore Environment and Nature") was to form the "green" thinking of future generations of EU entrepreneurs, to study the needs and benefits of the transformation of the EU economy into a "green“ one, to get acquainted with the common policy of the EU countries on the preservation of the environment and nature, as well as the development of new skills necessary for green jobs and entrepreneurship. The achievement of this global goal has been achieved by performing several tasks: - getting acquainted with the environmental problems of the planet and the participating countries and their policies in solving these problems; - formation of a set of key skills necessary for successful professional realization and social adaptation of young people in the 21st century; - gain knowledge about existing professions in the green labor market and professions of the future; - meetings with representatives of green business and NGOs; - development of creative skills and involvement in environmental issues; - development of European awareness; - promoting respect and understanding of other cultures

Background

The topic of ecology and environmental protection is particularly acute in modern society. It has become clear to every person on this planet that the world is on the brink of an ecological catastrophe, and in order to survive, humanity must change not only the way of life, but also the way of thinking. And it is necessary to form the so-called "Green thinking" from an early age, from the very first fairytales. In connection with this, the idea of a project appeared, in which the participants - high school students would get to know a wide range of environmental problems in their regions and countries, to study how the state and local authorities work to solve these problems, what business is doing in this direction and offer their solutions. As well as having a direct impact on this group of participants, the project also indirectly impacted another, younger audience. Tales written by the students and presented by them in various formats - films, presentations, audio files in English - were uploaded to the YouTube channel so that as many children as possible around the world could get to know them and which contributed to the sustainability of the project.
