Objectives

Our school wants to give the opportunity to their teachers to improve their teaching skills to use technology for our students' benefits. The training of our teachers is necessary in future plans of our schools. The school needs teachers highly motivated and enthusiast. Therefore training of staff is needed to acquire and implement a wide variety of international activities that can be carried out in cooperation with partner schools, to evaluate international activities and the European dimension in the curriculum, to disseminate the activities and outcomes and to strengthen intercultural awareness.

Background

Our school has little experience in new technologies as a teaching tool. Recent developments in teaching methodology will help our teachers to create a class environment in such a way for better results. ‘Our school needs teachers who are able to use new teaching methods, network with colleagues in other parts of Europe to learn and improve their skill as they grow older. To do this, we need to develop a strategy for internationalization, manage activities with our European partners, to make sure all our projects have certain quality standards. We need to give our teachers internationally-recognized certification, make sure knowledge and skills are disseminated throughout our school. Courses like these will help us achieve this by equipping us with these skills, developing intercultural awareness and helping us to develop a network of international contacts. We aim to empower students academically by providing them with the 21st Century learning tools. Furthermore we wish to prepare students for the workplace of the 21st Century, and thereby to enhance local economic development by creating a technologically-literate graduating work force as well as to enhance the overall school experience and generate enthusiasm and a more positive learning environment for students.
