By implementing this project we wanted to give to our students and staff of our College the unique opportunity to have short training abroad in order to be exposed to other methods and practices used elsewhere in Europe in order to get valuable experiences of this interaction. However, the Covid-19 outbreak negatively affect our planned activities under the Erasmus+ programme. In fact, due to Covid-19 pandemic, and lockdown situation each organization in every society all over the world has suspended all activities. The same was also for all the academic institutions as well as for us as an educational institution. The coronavirus pandemic affected all the kind of mobilities, both for students and staff. As a result, on this project we had only 1 participation from student.
Our project was one of the Erasmus+ projects that served the aims of the cooperation of European countries in further developing and modernizing their VET systems by mutual interaction. Also, having in mind that we continuously support the professional development of our students and our staff, we strongly believe in the idea of Erasmus+ Programme. Τherefore, as Erasmus+ Programme supports and rewards the professional/career development of people working in vocational education and training (VET) through training periods in a foreign country, we are trying to give this opportunity to our students and our staff.
