With these internships, we wanted to achieve specific objectives that cover the goals mentioned in the above sections. These are: -Provide our students with the possibility to acquire work experience, new professional knowledge and skills in a European environment, thanks to which they will have a better chance of employment in a competitive labor market. -Introduce students to the real requirements and needs of the labor market. -Familiarizing students with practices and mentalities used in international/European institutions as well as with cultural differences. These have a positive impact on the development of their cultural intelligence, their creativity at the workplace, their professionalism, etc. -Enhance language and personal competences of students, such as self-confidence, entrepreneurial capacity, empathy, openness, independence, and group work in a multicultural environment. -By achieving a successful potential collaboration with a school which participated for the first time in a European program, such as the W. Witos Upper-Secondary School Complex in Giebułtów, we are contributing to growing and building a stronger European school family satisfying in this way our need to be part of the big European school family.
We applied for this project in order to cover some of the needs and goals of our school, such as: (i) to create successfully employable graduates but also good characters and creative minds; to create quality graduates, having an understanding of the European or international context in their field, having acquired professional qualifications which will be useful for them in their future workplaces. Students should also be able to find their place in an international work environment, understand cultural differences, improve their language skills, be able to develop personal and social competences, such as self-confidence, openness and independence which are necessary traits, especially for students with fewer opportunities. (ii) Internationalization of the school. We aim to establish solid relationships with similar schools / institutes/ organizations across Europe, creating a connection not only with the pan-European family of vocational schools, but also with the European and international labor markets. Such connections will enhance the dynamic of our school and provide more and better opportunities to our students who want to have a future career or even additional future studies abroad.
