When the young people who developed this project identified the common problems associated with youth unemployment, the objectives of this project were developed. These included the need to address: Youth unemployment (in some cases over 40% in some countries) Lack of skills and competences needed by the labour market The impact of migrants, foreigners and refugees on the local labour market The impact of unemployment of youth with fewer opportunities, Employment opportunities in our countries and in the EU Entrepreneurialism in each partner country and incentives to start a new business The knowledge young people have regarding a new business and the support measures in place to help them EU and National opportunities to help young people Education systems in each country and the impact on employment (evaluation ratio of educated vs employed) Sources of employment and links between youth and the labour market The objectives are to address all of the above and to allow youth to work together to find solutions for these concerns while receiving the mentorship and knowledge from each other and the supporting partner organisations, learning about the different opportunities and choices available to them. To then take these outcomes and share them with other youth in our communities and beyond, to allow more youth to take advantage of this knowledge and experience. The main goals are to overcome youth unemployment in Europe, and the world for that matter. To empower youth from all walks of life to face the challenged with informed choices and knowledge of how they can realise their goals, either for employment or business.
