Our goal was to increase the language skills of our employees so that they could communicate effectively and share resources and new teaching methods. Our goal is also to prepare students well for Cambridge English exams and International Baccalaureate Diploma, which is why we also want our teachers to improve their language skills. Furthermore, our goal was to be inspired by educational programs abroad, culture and customs of other countries, so that we can use the acquired knowledge to support intercultural education at our school, to better implement formative assessment and to introduce modern teaching methods to educate students who are creative, can think critically, cooperate and solve problems, communicate effectively and make informed decisions. We also consider technological developments, which also determine the characteristics of 21st century students, to be important in terms of teachers' skills, so our aim was to increase digital competences of our teachers and to increase their awareness of safe ICT use in protecting personal data. Our goal is to strengthen the motivation of our employees.
We decided to apply for this project because we believe it is important that our school staff have lifelong learning. We are a school with extended English language teaching and we also teach some subjects in English, and therefore we need to teach the language well and at the same time we need to integrate English as much as possible into the teaching of other subjects. For this reason, we also try to increase the language and communication competencies of our employees, not only for pedagogical reasons, but also so that our employees can communicate with each other better and share resources and methods. We also decided to apply for this project because we want to be inspired by the educational programs, culture and customs of other countries so that our teachers better understand the role of teachers in the 21st century; so that they can lead our pupils and students to understand other nations and to be able to participate in the development of personality character of children and students. We also consider digital competences to be important in terms of teachers' skills, which is why we need to educate our teachers in the field of ICT, to acquaint them with the most modern tools they can use in their work.
