Objectives

Main target areas: 1. to train teachers internationally to develop and improve their skills and competences and subsequently strengthen pupils' knowledge and skills through other forms of teaching 2. To learn methods to help pupils cope with pressures that put them in difficult psychological situations (from family, society, school environment, later in the work team). 3. Organise teaching in such a way that it motivates pupils to think, to be creative (use of alternative pedagogy). 4. To use international cooperation with foreign institutions (in the framework of shadowing or training) to increase the professionalism of teachers and thus prepare themselves and pupils to be more competitive in the contemporary world. 5. Encourage teachers not to be afraid to experiment in their teaching and to use different methods of active learning (exchange of experience, practical and theoretical knowledge at international level). 6. To modernise and adapt the content of teaching to the needs of contemporary society and the European labour market. 7. Improving the professional, personal and linguistic competences of teachers (creating the conditions for teachers to have the space and information they need to continuously improve their teaching or to have a closer contact and understanding of their pupils).

Background

Educational institutions must continuously respond to social, cultural and generational changes in order to meet the needs of students to successfully integrate into further education and the labour market and to teach them to be active citizens with a sense of responsibility. In today's 'virtual' world, it is very difficult to design learning to be engaging and creative for pupils. Pupils are often bored at school and then given the space to be 'naughty', bully weaker pupils or be racist towards their classmates. If we want to move with the times, to be a modern school where pupils like to go, respect their teachers and learn creatively, we need to motivate our teachers to self-educate, to make contacts with foreign colleagues or institutions and generally prepare them for the demands of today's world. After assessing the needs of our school, we decided to apply for economic support under the Erasmus+ programme. The aim was 1. to provide a more coherent and better quality teaching in each subject using innovative educational forms, 2. to support teachers in the development of their competences: professional and personal, 3. to perceive the needs of pupils in inclusion, 4. to prevent problems arising on school grounds, 5, to create an ideal environment for pupils with different special needs.
