Objectives

The objectives were: • improving the language competences of all participants, strengthening teamwork in the organization, strengthening the spirit of European belonging through the exchange of experience with course participants from other European countries (these have fulfilled all courses, especially shadowing in Spain and Hungary and the course in London), • acquiring new and inspiring approaches and methodologies to dealing with pupils at risk of early school leaving (these were fulfilled by courses in Portugal, Malta and London) as well as pupils with special needs (shadowing in Budapest); • increasing competences to support teaching with modern technologies (courses in Malta and London), • improving language teaching through British culture, life and institutions (course in London), •preparing students for self-sufficiency in the competitive environment of both the domestic and single European market (all mobilities were very helpful as the subsequent applications of the knowledge gained from them in the lessons led to fulfilling this task) • and last but not least, creating a more dynamic and inspiring classroom environment while ensuring the principle of equal behavior of students towards each other (course in Iceland).

Background

SPŠP – COP ZLÍN boasts with a high professional level of branches taught there. This currently means much greater demands on both school management and teachers of professional and theoretical teaching. In order to keep up with current trends and competition, the school management strives to constantly improve this level. It calls on teachers to keep on innovating their teaching methods and improving their approach to pupils. One way to achieve these goals is to participate in international training courses, seminars and job shadowing in other european schools. That is why we have developed this project. We wanted our teachers to improve the competencies that were the focus of the selected courses of the project: to improve the quality of the teaching process, both in terms of their professional developement and in their way of approaching to pupils. Thanks to the participation in the mobilities our teachers gained knowledge and competences useful for all our needs mentioned in our EDP.
