By implementing project mobilities we wanted to achieve the following aims: - To improve the language competencies of teachers by increasing the number of teachers who have B1, B2 and C1 levels of language, and to encourage learning other foreign languages than just English - Start using CLIL methodology in at least 5 more non-language subjects thanks to training 5 more teachers in CLIL courses - Introduce more innovative methods to language teaching, especially those focusing on integrating IT to foreign language teaching, informal and project-based teaching, and teaching methods supporting critical thinking skills - Deepen the internationalization of the school by cooperating with more partner schools on job-shadowing mobilities, and deepen the cooperation with current partner schools by involving more teachers in joint activities and projects
We have implemented two KA1 projects, “Language Competences Development of Bigy Teachers (Call 2017) and “Language Competences Development of Bigy Teachers II (Call 2018). Both projects aimed to improve the language competencies of teachers and students and to improve language learning by introducing innovative teaching methods to language lessons and CLIL methodology to non-language lessons. Although we completed both projects successfully, given the number of teachers and students at our school, the aims of our European Development Plan are far from being achieved. This project followed up with the previous projects and helped us advance in reaching our long-term goals. This project is followed by the school accreditation and consequential projects within this accreditation. This way we are gradually developing key areas of improvement, that is internationalization, modernising education, professional development of teachers and key competencies of students.
