Objectives

The main objective of the project and the school was to provide pupils with the opportunity to acquire new knowledge, skills and competences, both professional and linguistic, through international work experience abroad. The SPŠCH Brno is the only school in the South Moravian Region offering chemistry courses. In this sense, we are becoming a centre of secondary school chemical education. Another goal of the project was also to build good relations with foreign companies. Our school will be able to implement even more EU projects and, most importantly, more pupils will apply to us thanks to our European cooperation. The objectives of the project from the school's point of view: - Improving communication in a foreign language (written and spoken) for the participants, the school management, - gaining professional experience in practice for the participants, - making new international contacts, - introduction of new knowledge into existing curricula, - improving the competences of school management, - provision of state-of-the-art technology for pupils' professional practice abroad.

Background

Our school already has a rich experience in establishing international relations. However, it had no experience in the implementation of Eramus+ projects. The school wanted to broaden its international relations more in order to reach the desired level. Therefore, the school's plan within the European activities was to establish quality cooperation with new foreign partners, who would in the future also receive our pupils on foreign internships, where they would gain very important professional knowledge and skills. After establishing cooperation with quality foreign partners, we plan to use this cooperation in the future. Thanks to the high quality cooperation abroad, pupils, teachers and school management have improved in the areas of language, organisation and professional skills. The teachers continue to apply this knowledge in their teaching methods. The pupils who were sent abroad were able to promote our experience in Czech laboratories and the school became more interesting and prestigious on the domestic and international level. The project participants thus strengthened their position not only on the domestic but also on the international labour market. These are the reasons for implementing the project.
