The aim of the project was to expand the professional competencies of students in the field of CNC machine control in Heidenhain control system. Teachers should have gained the necessary experience and information in the field of CNC plasma cutting and welding. The acquired knowledge should be used for innovation of educational programs for all taught engineering fields. In connection with this, the adjustment of topics for the profile part of the Matura exam for the fields of mechanical engineering and mechanics of machines and equipment. In the project we also decided to apply the ECVET system and together with our partner we developed three units of learning outcomes, including the method of their evaluation and the evaluation form. The aim was also to make the study of engineering in the Pardubice region more attractive, and to transfer gained experience to other teachers and current and future students.
Employers in the Pardubice Region are facing with growing shortage of qualified professionals. Our school educates these experts in technical fields and therefore we decided to make the offered fields more attractive and especially expand the portfolio of skills of our students. During their studies, they get acquainted with the Sinumerik, MTS and Fanuc systems for programming CNC milling machines and lathes. The job shadowing at the United School in Martin will continue on these acquired competencies and expand them with the skills of one of the other most used CNC machine control systems “Heidenhain”. The project follows on years of cooperation and successful implementation of previous similar projects. The school also purchased a CNC plasma cutting machine as part of the IKAP project and planned to purchase a multifunctional welder for various types of welding under project IKAP 2. As part of Job Shadowing, teachers should gain an idea of how to integrate the purchased technology into teaching and obtain the necessary materials for the creation of new teaching materials.
