We decided to implement the project because of the possibility to establish new cooperation with quality foreign partners and also because of the opportunity to provide pupils and teachers of the school to learn about the operation of foreign companies and thus increase their professional competences, language competences and personal development. The project objectives and needs from the participants' point of view: - to expand professional competences, - improve existing and acquire new language skills, - provide work experience in the construction and teaching fields, - to provide the opportunity to understand the corporate world from the inside, - to increase the value of students in the labour market, - give the opportunity to experience new cultures, countries and adapt to new conditions, housing, working environment. The goals and needs from our school's perspective are: - To create networks of contacts with people from different countries and cultures, - to build long-term cooperation abroad, - to increase the attractiveness of our organisation not only domestically but also internationally, - to respond more flexibly to new technologies in the field of construction and thus to incorporate new knowledge into teaching.
Due to the rapid developments in the construction industry, we consider it necessary for students to experience what it is like to work in an international environment. Technology and trends in these fields are constantly advancing, and it is not always possible to respond flexibly to these changes on work placements within the school. Therefore, it is the need of the school that the students and accompanying teachers, and through them the school itself, learn about new technologies and trends in the field of construction, and present this knowledge to the school management, students and teachers, so that we can more quickly and better implement new methods or tools in theoretical and professional teaching. We cannot meet this need unless we have quality foreign partners who are willing to host our students for foreign placements. Furthermore, it is imperative that the school management gains more experience in cooperating with specific foreign companies and in the organisation and implementation of Erasmus+ projects. The pupils and teachers of the school need to learn about foreign cultures and broaden their horizons. These are the reasons why we applied for this project and why we continue to be involved in Erasmus+.
