The first specific goal of the project was to provide students with the opportunity for personal growth, and the acquisition of new knowledge and skills. By participating in the project, students gained practical experience from the German, Irish and Spanish systems of care for the elderly and increased their expertise. They tested theoretical knowledge in practice under the supervision of professionals. Another goal was to improve the communicational and lexical area of language competences. The third goal was to provide the opportunity for self-education and the acquisition of additional competencies to school staff who accompanied students or collaborated on the project.
The main motivation was to maintain the offer of internships abroad for students and graduates of our school. We want to keep up with other educational institutions that organize these internships for their students. By promoting the results achieved and successes from abroad, we try to increase prestige in the eyes of the public, but also to stimulate other primary school graduates' interest in studying at our school. We are convinced that the project develops the abilities, skills, and competencies of our students in an appropriate way. The project pursues the same goals that we strive to fulfill as educational institutions.
