The main goal of the project was to expand and innovate professional education at our school through this foreign experience. By implementing the project, we wanted to enable the participants to compare non-medical health care systems in EU countries with the system in the Czech Republic. An equally important goal was the support of language competences, the possibility to verify knowledge and communication skills in a foreign language and the expansion of vocabulary in the field of professional medical English or Spanish. Thanks to the multicultural environment, the participants also gained knowledge about the cultural and mental differences of the inhabitants of a foreign country, and the development of their personal qualities (independence, responsibility, tolerance) was supported. Professional practice is part of the educational programs of the above-mentioned fields. Elements of the ECVET system are implemented in the project. After the successful completion of the professional internship, the students received a Europass. Mobility and internship were recognized as compulsory professional practice within their studies.
Among the main reasons for submitting the project, we include the effort to strengthen the international dimension of education and training, i.e. expansion and innovation of vocational education at our school through the foreign experience of pupils, students and teachers. By implementing the project, we wanted to enable the participants to get to know the different systems of non-medical health care in partner countries and to implement new methods and procedures in the field of non-medical health care into our practice and teaching. Other benefits of the project include increasing the attractiveness of educational health fields and the entire school. The possibility of traveling abroad for a professional internship is increasingly being asked by future and current pupils and students. Young people want to travel, get to know new countries, different cultures, they want to gain experience. This project fulfills both - both the growth of the participant's personal qualities and his professional skills and experience. Motivation to study and increasing the prestige of medical education is also essential.
