The goals we wanted to achieve during the implementation of the project were based on the Strategic Development Plan of the Karviná Business Academy, s.r.o. school, on the Strategic Development Plan of the city of Karviná and the region, and on the goals based on the Resolution of the Council of the European Union. The goal of the project was to provide school pupils with motivation to develop their own personality, motivation to try to get an education. Make information available to them and learn to use it for their further professional growth. Increase their prospects for employment, give them the opportunity to become active citizens. Participating in an internship abroad showed young people that they are part of the European community and that it is quite realistic to engage in pan-European learning. This also gave another goal of the project, namely the need to acquire high-quality language knowledge of at least two foreign languages. Participating in an internship abroad helped remove the language barrier. The goal of the project was also to get to know the realities of the host country. This goal was realized through an accompanying program. The goal was also the personality of the trainee, the participant increased his self-confidence, independence, ability to work in a foreign environment, flexibility. Ability to learn new work procedures, solve assigned tasks independently, but also in a team.
We decided to apply for the student mobility project of the Karviná Business Academy for several reasons. 1. The project was intended for students who are at the beginning of their professional career. By participating in the internship, the students achieved further professional development and got acquainted with new innovative processes. The internship supported and strengthened the students' motivation for their work application. Pupils participated in a work team in a foreign language environment. They improved their practical skills, improved their language skills and competences. They increased their awareness of other cultures and countries, joined a network of international contacts and gained a sense of European citizenship and European identity. They improved their personal qualities, increased their chances on the labor market. 2. School pedagogues were also involved in the project as accompanying persons. Participation in the internship supported the professional development of pedagogues, contributed to innovation and improvement of teaching and work with youth. It increased the prestige of teaching staff. They implemented new knowledge, skills and work methods into the school education program. 3. The participation of pupils and teachers in foreign internships influenced the school's position in the public eye, the school received a new, higher credit.
